Anyone would think she hadn't enjoyed herself :rotfl:. She is walking a little funny this morning though

Morning, Thursday already. It is still raining but not pouring like yesterday. The ponds and streams in the park have burst their banks and our hounds wouldn't walk in that much rain. Our girlie dog looked at us as though we were mad and sat down, refusing to budge.
Today is a jobbing day - ironing, polishing and vacuuming, cooking, errand running and brushing the hounds.
Money is looking ok. Next trip is to Portugal to pay annual council tax, would be rude not to stay a few days and enjoy a stroll on the beach.
Menu plan is up in the kitchen. Chicken pasta bake with chorizo tonight.
Depending upon the weather, I will be gardening tomorrow. I want to get the cloches on to warm up the soil. Broad beans are going mad and I have some plants I rescued which require permanent homes. Much weeding is required.
I am SO looking forward to the clocks changing.
Right, feet have recovered from walking in Gally land. I've caught up on sleep and rest and am ready to tackle some jobs.
Might have breakfast and a cup of tea first

Breakfast is definitely required before starting all those errands! Though I bet you're looking forward to Portugal already2023: the year I get to buy a car0

All my errands were completed and yesterday was a fun packed day. We were out of the house for 12 hours either doing new errands, a little shopping and mooching, then out for dinner with friends.
Church this morning and a lovely dog walk this afternoon. I remembered to put my Fitbit on and now need another 1700 steps to hit 10k. Would have been helpful if I had remembers to put in on first thing this morning
There seems to be a lot going on and I am getting frustrated with the builders in the UK. Don't people like to give quotes for jobs these days? Mr T and I have decided on the architect to use for our Future home. It has taken a bit of mulling over as they seem so pushy. It's our home not some Eco example to add to their portfolio. Fingers crossed Mr T likes them when we meet up.
I can't remember if I have added this to my diary but if we change how the fireplace is going to be, the knock on effect could be that we don't need to extend at all - odd that one small change would enable us to have all three bedrooms facing the back garden. It does mean the dining room would be on the north side, but as that is going to be used mainly in the winter, it will be cosy with the underfloor heating and darker curtains. The table from the UK will go over and I am ebaaaying the chairs, or FB. We have spent time this weekend talking over whether to start the work next year. That would mean I can't take any bookings from friends or family but we could have Christmas 2017 in a finished house. I'm not holding my breath on that one.
Chicken and a tray of root veg, peppers, garlic, onions are just about to go in the oven.
Spring time, the sun is out, blue sky, loads of people walking in the park - happy days.

Morning, quick weather update - grey - there's a surprise
First builder has turned down the jobs on the UK house. Not a big enough job. Have been given a recommendation and Mr T will call them today.
I'm off to see mum and take her shopping. I haven't made any dinners for her but will need to crack on with those over the Easter weekend. I'm bringing her down to stay and she can 'order' her favourites. As DD will be doing exams in May, I'll double up the meals and both mum and DD won't need to worry.
Walking the hounds will be late afternoon and later evening as I'm off soon. They were particularly cuddly last night, with boy dog lying on the sofa, on his back, asking for a tum tickle. For those of you who know him in RL, it was a funny sight.
Right, action required. I'm throwing a small joint of brisket in the SC with onion, carrots, star anise and cinnamon. Mug of water, turn on and leave. Will be served with mashed swede and BNS.
Best wishes Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Aunty Gally, both dogs tickled
Visit to mum went well. However, she sprang a whole load of paperwork on me, accumulated since my father died. We had to work through it all, sheet by sheet. Thought I was going to fall asleep on the motorway, coming home. Decided a nap at the service station was wise.
Right, brisket and veggies ready. Dog walking has been postponed but fortunately they have been outside most of the day.

Morning, spring cleaning has begun. Kitchen drawers complete, baking cupboard this afternoon.
I am now revelling in GG style tea towels :rotfl:
Ironing today, then a bike ride (on my own so I can't be rushed).
First quote has come back which seems reasonable. Waiting for a response from two companies. It really does feel like the beginning of moving albeit we won't leave the country permanently for a few years. I am really grateful for having Kondo'd so much stuff last year. It will make changing how the house works for us, much easier. We have decided to sell some small pieces of furniture which DD won't need/want.
Finally, I've peeled, boiled and mashed 5lb of potatoes which wouldn't have kept. Am portioning, packing and freezing this morning. I can see fish cakes, cottage pies will be replacing some things on the menu plan.
Right, tea to drink, then potato tasks.

Well it wouldn't do to be rude:)
Your menu planning is so inspirational, also makes me feel hungry whilst reading your diary though. It was only after I started reading your diary last year that I realised how much money could be saved by being organised, thank you.
