I can't wait to have a decluttering session when I am at home during the summer. I already know what my plan of action isMFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

Sounds like a fabulous weekend ahead, Tilly
Don't think I managed to add a few :j :j :j for only having 7k left - how fab, you must be so thrilled :j
PS. Squirrel, try using a cd cleaner disc (should only cost a few ££), that should sort your CD player out (or at the very least, is worth a shot if it may extend the life?). We used one on Mr Merle's aged machine and now it works like a dream, best couple of quid we've ever spent :Ta penny picker upper. Evening, thanks atypicalblonde, it is only because of the endowment and it had increased more than expected.
The blind is up in the utility room, I've taken a mahoosive !kea bag of books and china to the charity shop, plus paid a cheque in and returned something I bought for DS.
The outstanding money I was waiting for has arrived
All in all, we're in a massively improved place to January.
If we can just have the sun back, that would be great.

Afternoon, the sun has returned
Although DS has a job offer, another company contacted him to attend an interview. He went this afternoon and it seems to have gone well. Would be a bit of a result to have a choice
I've spent time in the study, clearing out more paperwork, making a list of tasks to do and giving it a good clean. I've Tilly Tidied 91p to our Future pot.
I've got all the pension documentation together ready for us to talk when DS goes away. I think we need some quiet time as there's a lot to work through. I am extremely relieved that we both have good pensions. Sad to say we have been so remiss about this in the past. Mr Ts current pension is not brilliant but hopefully that won't cause any problems.
Cup of tea is calling.

I keep looking at our pension paperwork. My teachers pension is clear, accessible and it is easy to see what I will get and when I will get it. Oh has three from different financial institutions and they are total gobbledygook. Surely it can't be that difficult to explain to a layman?
Very good luck with your pension planning session. Have plenty of biscuits handy!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Morning, £10.46 claimed from TCB, that will head to Future pot.
Hi Squirrel, I think we have been quite ridiculous about our pensions in the past. However, miraculously, they look ok. I'm 55 in just over three years and that works well with Mr Ts age for early retirement. I can't believe that through pure luck, things are stacking up. OK, clearing the mortgage wasn't luck, that was mindset change, sticking to the plan and not losing focus. I am feeling SO relieved that we are nearly there.
I'm off out on an adventure shortly. 2 mile walk in the bag, another one tonight with Mr T after dinner.
Best wishes, Tilly x x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Adventuring done and I'm pooped. Dinner prepared and cooking and I'm putting my feet up
Dinner tomorrow is halloumi and courgette kebabs with tabouleh - I have to buy mint  Why do I always manage to kill a herb that is supposed to grow like a weed
