Hi Tilly, phew, where has the last month gone to?!? I think apart from a couple of five minute lurks I've not been able to get on here for about four weeks so hope you are well

Off for a catch-up now, wishing the Tilly family a great bank holiday weekend

    Regards

Roll on the day I post, mortgage now starts with a 1 :T

Every day brings us closer and I am far more relaxed now we have switched. Sadly though, if our bank accounts are not showing a round figure, I now switch the £p to the mortgage - yep I know I am mad, I can't seem to help myself :)

Have a great day all, Tilly x

I just love the first line of the above Tilly, you go girl :j
Re you moving money to the mortgage if your bank account doesn't show a round figure, lol, I do it the other way, if the mortgage balance doesn't show a round figure then I OP to make it round. Can you imagine if we both did both approaches, you could do it ad infinitum and the mortgage would be cleared in a day but with a hefty overdraft to boot :rotfl:
Morning Brizzle, thanks for your lovely post. I do find having a diary is a huge motivator to keep on the straight and narrow.

We have said no to other school trips but the skiing one is something she will get a lot from. Off to look at ski stuff in the sales today. Good that it is the end of the season as big reductions. Think we will try on in shops to get sizes then come home and order online :money:Have a good weekend Tilly x

How are you getting on with the shopping for ski clothes Tilly? I can see that Brizzled has offered some good advice too. There's a place I use, I'll have a look in a mo and see if I can find the details although it is a long time since I have used them. The other thing you can look out for is ski shows where they are often selling last season stuff, e.g. twice a year in my area on of the big ski stores has a show on in a big hotel. Mind you, if you can I would borrow it. You don't say whether DS knows how to ski already as if she doesn't she may not like it?
Hi Brizzle, will definitely PM you as I have no clue about skiing but will be googling this afternoon as well.

Ald@ had some ski layer type stuff today but no idea whether they were good buys or not. Thanks for your advice, Tilly x

I've not used Aldi for ski wear but years ago I bought a set from Lidl. I must admit I was really concerned about how good it would be but i bought it based on the fact that at that price I couldn't go wrong, I had other 'labelled' ones if it was no good as well as the fact that even if I didn't use it for skiing I could wear it in the winter months at home (yes, I do do that :D) Anyway, it really was a smashing set for skiing and I've no complaints

PS, don't get the idea that I'm a good skier, I should be the amount of times I've gone but I'm rubbish, far too much time spent sitting in the sun admiring the view :p

I am thinking, slowly, about doing some additional training. I have a wee dream which may allow me to leave work earlier, well when MF. Not right after they leave home but within a couple of years. I am a very giving person which is quite tricky with my current career - I believe there is something in me which needs nurturing so will be leaving this ticking away in the background and see what happens for now. Possibly more to follow. For now I need to jump up, grab my kit and get outside. Have a good week, Tilly x

That sounds exciting Tilly so looking forward to hearing more as your thoughts unfold. My dream plan would be to not work and stay at home baking and not doing very much else apart from visit places around the world :D
Better post this as there is a massive hail shower going on outside and the lights are flickering, eekk. To think it was too hot last week!! PWD xx
Morning PWD, weird weather indeed. We have glorious sun at the moment, although chillly, yet an hour up the motorway it's coved with snow. Best wishes Tilly x

Couldn't agree more, the weather is just plain weird at the moment, boiling hot last week, it snowed all day Tuesday, yesterday ten different kinds of weather every hour and today I've sat in the garden for a couple of hours catching up on a few jobs and the papers :o

Hi again, I'm all caught up now. You're doing great Tilly and big thumbs up to Mr T too as it sounds like he is totally onboard and has also caught the MFW bug too ;)

You're weight loss is fantastic too, wow 22 lbs, i seem to remember when you started you mentioned that you judged your weight by a particular skirt, I'm guessing said skirt just drops over your hips to the floor now :rotfl: Gawd, if I could lose 22 lbs that would be just perfect and re-open a corner of my wardrobe that has been closed to me for far too long containing lots of pretty dresses :o I started a bit of a health kick food wise three weeks ago (no exercise mind you, just food) and to my disgust had not even lost an ounce a week later, it was the exact weight I'd shown the week before to the decimal place!

I can see you've had a really busy time of it work wise and I can only sympathise, my last month has been wild and I was on my knees by Friday and really looking forward to a few days off this week. I've spent a couple of really lovely days with family and today was the first day to myself. I woke-up at 10.40 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and apart from making a drink I didn't even sit down but got straight on with some housework, the 'good' stuff like cleaning bathrooms etc ;)

After a couple of hours the weather had gone from black clouds to gorgeous so I downed tools and took myself off to my mother to avail myself of her lovely garden furniture for some peace and quiet in the sun (I knew she was out all day :p)

Right, off to catch-up on some other diaries, have a great weekend

Hiya ATT, I need to respond to you fully using my lap top not iPad so this will be short. :)

Skirt swivels now. Mr T is describing it as my new party trick.

I am actually just over 24lbs now but it is stabilising. I feel good and I hope people understand this, I feel in a great place at the moment. Whilst work is manic I still love what I do. DH and I are exercising regularly together and losing weight has made me feel lighter - its not just the Lbs but the £ also. Getting everything sorted, facing stuff head on and no prevarication means things run smoothly and I feel lighter. The cleaner will also improve things.

I will get back to you later :)

I feel quite happy where I am now. I never thought I had much to lose but I was wrong. Have to keep an eye on how many choc eggs I have :)

Wow, that's brilliant. I would love to drop 2 dress sizes. I have started to eat a lot healthier since the works canteen closed and a Mr Ts opened across from work. I buy the yellow sticker fresh food so it's very MSE. Plus I walk an extra 10 minutes each day. It's only been 2 weeks so I've not seen a difference yet.
