Tilly, I've just had a lovely catchup on all your news after being off the radar for a while.
You're sooooo close, you must be beside yourself with excitement :j
Sorry to hear you had a tough start to the year, I know how frustrating it is when you just want to get things done. Very glad to hear you're feeling much more like your old self :T

My ex's gran wore a dress to our wedding she had worn to her sons. Was probably old fashioned then as well :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort Mortgage Balance = £0 Mortgage Balance = £0 "Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0 "Do what others won't early in life so you can do what others can't later in life"0

Morning, well we 'shopped till we dropped' yesterday. For those who know me in RL, this was tough - I hate shopping. I've never been a 'pootle round the shops' gal. Mum is sporting a lovely M&S top and skirt. I need to return the different sizes we bought, just in case.
DD is home and dinner was eaten outside. Mum still has a terrific sense of humour. This morning DD and I have been sitting on her bed, watching the fashion show. DD has tried on two of mum's skirts and is trying to get them off her. As they are mum's favourites, that's unlikely but how cool that a 19 year old, likes her nan's clothes.
Anyway, back to money matters - Mr T is contacting his final salary pension company to ask for details of his package at 55 and 65.
I need to plan meals around the contents of the house fridge - I seem to have bits and pieces (I'm blaming mum ) to use up. Afternoon tea today ) to use up. Afternoon tea today
Weather report - grey, cool and breezy.

I'm the same as you with shopping. I tend to know exactly what I want and where to get it from and zoom in and out! Did you get anything nice for yourself?

Hi, no, nothing for me. I'm working my way through my clothes and ditching them and not buying more
The sun is trying to come out. Church service was lovely and mum enjoyed seeing all the children. Good to see them playing and enjoying themselves rather than being banished.
 Best wishes, Tilly x x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

            Morning... oops... afternoon Tilly
I'm loving the talk of families and photos. My mum and I are planning on going through all the old family pics at some point as I want to get a load of them framed and on the wall when our house is done. Also we need to write down who everyone is and how they were related because that knowledge is quickly lost. I wish I had done this with my dad as we have lost touch with most of his family but he wasn't very good at talking about the past.
It is lovely creating new family memories. It's my birthday this week and we're having a good old family meal. My 'close family' now consists of me, DH, my mum, my brother, his girlfriend and her mum. We're not all related but we've been together for all special occasions (happy and sad) for the last 9 years and I love them all to bits
I got a bit carried away - sorry! It is just so lovely to read your diary with lots of family times, mse news and inspiration as you near your goal. I love it :T

            Hello,
I recently took a photo with my dad, myself, my son and my granddaughter. Four generations together, and as my granddaughter is ten and my dad is 76, we could get to five generation quite easily. Due to our silly habit of having children whilst still crazily young in our family....
I love the photo though. I also have a photo taken on my grandparents' engagement. My grandad wrote on the back of it after my grandma died that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. It is one of my most treasured possessions. I do still print a few photos every year, despite having them all backed up in various devices, just in case of computer crash.
I hope your photo is as enduring as my grandad's, which was taken in 1929.
 Have a good week,

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0

            Morning, glorious, sunny, blue sky
Photos taken and Mr T has printed a couple out for mum. Lovely afternoon tea and I just made a picnic snack for DS and Mr T last night.
DD leaves tomorrow resulting in today being very busy. Much running round to do but come this evening, all will be good and we can, hopefully, eat outside and say our farewells for a month.
This week we will mainly be eating fresh veg from the garden - mangetout, courgette, purple sprouting, broad beans so I need to get inventive. This evening's meal will be a platter of griddled veg with a tahini type dressing. Not sure what to serve it with but DS and Mr T have requested meat :rotfl:
Money matters - will OP £80 this week.
