Only living on Mr Ts salary now, and have moved the majority of my salary to MOS. Another week until Mr Ts payday. Have left normal buffer in account.

It's a dark and windy day here - yesterday was gorgeous though and even driving home around 10pm it was still 12 degrees.

Will be picking Miss T up from railway station tonight. She has a TCB account and is going to try for a S&S place as well. She's somehow boogered her access to this site. I've suggested contacting the MSE forum team for advice - is that the best option?

    Best wishes, Tilly x x x

Stocks and shares, or a unique Tilly household acronym? Miss T's a smart cookie, but watch out for T&Cs if it's what I think it is, they usually expect you to do something for your free money.

Another fan of the Mr L risotto rice here, I wheeled around the shop 3 times before I found it (right at the front of the shop) :o I also got reduced sundried tomatoes in oil, pesto, an antipasti platter and some vongoles (clams). Clams are nigh on impossible to find for me, they're great for chowder or pasta.

Morning Mr E, sadly not as up market as stocks and shares - shop and scan :rotfl:

However, from your previous advice she has a stocks and shares ISA or NIsA as well :)

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Morning, the way the weeks are flying by is ridiculous at the moment

We've had a great time with DD and much laughter. We put together an annual budget now that she knows the £ for bills. She's signed up to TCB and £co. I'm sending S&S and CP sites to her. As an average she will be able to save £150 per month, plus has a holiday savings pot and entertainment. She's figuring out the amounts and will update the spreadsheet. It's good to see that she will be able to cope, but this is primarily down to sporadic work which brings in chunks of money. She needed a monthly budget to work out how this will last and what the spikes and troughs in income look like.

    Our money stuff
    £3 PC OPd
£co payment on its way - round £12 from memory
    Mr T payday tomorrow :T

Last night we ended up with beans on toast at 10pm  DS and DD went out and Mr T and I ran round like nutters. Last nights dinner will be eaten tonight :)

I have my eye on a house for DD and it's been reduced. I need to engage GG to understand what's the matter with it :). Unlikely to go for this one but am using it as a test case to understand the process etc.

What other news? DS is now on holiday and having a well deserved lie in - no alarm clocks. He's away this weekend as well.

I am counting my blessings in a huge way at the moment. A Panorama programme on poverty was very sad to see. I tend not to be political on my diary but I do think the whole benefit system needs to be redesigned. Will leave that topic now :)

I'd better get cracking - I'm working from home but have tons of calls. Will use the time to get the washing in and out of the machine. Unlikely it will be line dried.

    Best wishes, Tilly x

I love the way you can catch up on housework while you take work phone calls - really sounds ideal :) I'm glad everything's going so well, Tilly :)

I think Miss Tilly might :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

She made me laugh so much last night. She sent me a pic of her dinner. It was a portion of the SC stew she made the other day. Looked delicious.

We were also chatting about prices and she was comparing specific products from Ald! and L!dl. She knows the prices of the main things she buys each week and what she needs to stock up when near a L!dl vs her normal weekly shop in Ald!. This really did surprise me.

I'm really pleased as she has learnt a lot - some of it directly but a lot just from watching.

Finally, the fact she meal plans makes me laugh too :)
