  • Hi Greying, I was just posting on your diary before catching up on mine and here you are 😄

I was thinking about you a lot today - it's odd how these virtual relationships give us an insight into each other's lives.

I said to Mr T when we walked the dogs today, that I'm sure you would love the walk. It was only an hour but the colours were gorgeous. Really looking forward to going off tomorrow with the dogs and camera.

I've been thinking of your Buddha bowl concept and I'm doing this for a few nights in November. I think DS will love the variety.

    Have a good night.

    Tilly xx

The CostC0 info is interesting, thanks Tilly (and ATT), we don't have one near us at all but my niece swears by them (she lives Maidstone way). I often wonder whether it's worth using their online services. I may well investigate them more fully in the new year when, hopefully the cash flow is actually flowing a little more readily!

Hope you're having a lovely afternoon and enjoying the crisp afternoon, I was talking to Mr. Hbbb about my memories of 'first day after clocks back' which seem to have stuck with me, I much prefer the seasonal milestones to the calendar new year celebrations.

Hope you've had a happy afternoon and got some lovely pics! x

 to Greying, lovely photo with great colours and it wouldn't be autumnal without t'mud ... it's welly boot season after all! I bet that photo would look grand as a seasonal desktop backgound x

I love hearing your stories about Mrs T, she's the student we all wish that we were (with the benefit of hindsight) :)

It is a bit wild today - did you manage to get to the gym in the end?

I'm not that far from Maidstone- do you happen to know which branch she uses? As far as I can see the nearest branch to us is Thurrock, which is 'over the water'

I am on page 219, working my way through your diary! Please can someone send a search party if I don't appear out the other end soon!

It has been a wonderfully, addictive read. It is hugely inspirational what you and your family have achieved in such a short time and you must be incredibly proud. I have been making a note of some of your ideas and tips and am planning to incorporate them into my plan to be mortgage free.

Thanks again for sharing your diary. Now back to page 219 I go!

Hi Mr E, I'm glad we were honest with Miss T about our poor money management. We may have caused ourselves frustration but we have helped set her on the right path.

She's loving Uni, the work although difficult is stretching her which she loves. She's physically working out which is good for her mind as well :)

We got to the gym and boy did we work hard. We also had our lovely long walk with the hounds. They ran for miles - I never tire of seeing the joy on theirs faces. OK, I know they're dogs but it's hard to describe how much they love a good run, with loads of new scents to follow.

    Have a good week, Tilly x x

  • Morning Habibiboo, it's been a beautiful weekend. The weather was glorious on Saturday and extremely mild yesterday. In fact I sat and had a coffee outside after dinner last night.

Loads accomplished, sadly still lots to do. I don't understand why the amount of jobs doesn't reduce. Mr T and I were talking about it yesterday evening. Having two dogs does increase the workload as they shed their fur which needs vacuuming regularly.

Anyway, I'd rather have the mess and my dogs, than a prestine house and no dogs :)

Have a fab week and I hope you both enjoy the holidays.

Good morning Roubaix, that's a bit undertaking. You'll find loads of waffle and its been a rocky road at times so apologies up front.

If there are any tips which help you, that will make my day :)

I am proud of what we've achieved in the last three years and I do realise we are fortunate. It's the mindset change which has done it and not being embarrassed to say we can't afford something.

Our saving pots have been a godsend. For example, there's a Christmas event which all four of us want to go to but it equates to the whole month's entertainment budget. We have decided to forego two other events, in order that we can all go, rather than just the two of us. We would never have thought of that before, we'd have just spent the money. It doesn't mean we stay in, but take yesterday for example, everything we did (bar the gym but I prepay and get one free PT session) was free.

I am immensely grateful to :money: and the fab people on the MFW and DFW sites. Some of the other forums scare me :o and although I lurk, I don't post.

Drop in whenever you are passing.

    Best wishes, Tilly x
