I love a catch up with your diary. You always sound so super organised and even when you have a "muppet moment" it never lasts long :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

I think because I'm organised at work, I'm fairly organised at home. However, since I had a bit of a melt down recently, I seem to have lost focus in terms of running the home.

It's hard to explain but I feel that I'm leaving my brain behind when I stop work. I do know the work me, is different to the home me in many ways, but the focus thing is new. Even Mr T is noticing

I am hoping that I go back to normal and I have gone back to doing things without prevarication. I can't achieve everything in one go but I am catching up which is pleasing.

    Thanks for dropping in.

You are now old. This is the new normal :rotfl:.

Had lots of conversations recently with people about forgetting things, losing the plot and, in my case, confusing cows with sheep .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Gally, noooooooooo! :rotfl:

Well, yes, sometimes :D but Tilly, is it connected to the extra responsibility of your promotion catching up with you? And the atmosphere at work seems to have changed. Just wondering ...

I've missed posting a bit - I like the smilies :o and the tech difficulties the board was having yesterday stumped me! Hope your day goes well today :)

Don't worry, I know the woolly brain feeling very well!:rotfl:

I worked full time until the age of 50, and juggled work and home with no problems, and with mental lists of things to do, never had to write anything down.

I hit 50, and went part time at the same time, and all of a sudden I felt everything was drifting, and couldn't focus on anything properly.

It's really only in the last year or so I've felt like I've fully regained control. I'm out of the other side of the menopause (Sorry Mr Ed, if you are reading, probably TMI :rotfl:), written lists are key, not to mention freezer inventories, and the household diary. I've now got a grip on the house, and frankly, I'm not bothered about work anymore!

  • Morning Goldie, I hadn't associated wooly mind with menopause but I guess it could be. I'm well over the side (sorry Mr E :)) so standard physical symptoms have stopped.

  • Morning, 97p Tilly Tidied to MOS :)

Dark, cold morning and the hounds weren't interested in getting out of their beds :rotfl: Such a rare occurrence. They had their heads resting on the sides of their beds, looking at me as if to say "it's a bit early mum "

Mr T is away and I'm in the office today. DS will take the hounds out later this morning. DS is out tonight and I'm off to Zumba :T

I have a request from DS for creamy mashed potato with the goulash for dinner this evening.

Spends are well under control and Mr T is catching up on his expenses tonight (still away). He normally does them every week but it's slipped to two weekly. Interest free card is working well for his expenses. He has now cleared a chunk of the bill as he was close to the limit. TCB is working well on hotels and he's averaging between £30 and £80 a month on cashback. Just takes a long time for the funds to be payable.

I'm off to make a cuppa.

    Best wishes, Tilly x

To think there are so many people who don't know about cashback sites and are really missing out. I tried to convert my mum but she wasn't so convinced!
