what weirder is when they grow up, leave home, visit occasionally and then both bounce back permantely again! in the past 26 years we've had the grand total of 4 months when it was just me and OH alone. I think our two take in it turns to ensure we never get any peace...

Did you get your JL cake and cuppa? We had a chunk of banana cake that filled us both up! Yum!
    mortgage 1 33,000. paid nov 2012 :D. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
  • Evening, sadly didn't get the cake and coffee but have had a truly fantastic weekend.

The weather wasn't brilliant yesterday but I loved having some time to myself. We managed to finish a few bits of shopping required by DS for a DoE walk, then last night I prepared most of the food for lunch today. Gym early this morning, then church, back home and just time to lay the table and friends arrived.

An afternoon of chatting, much laughter and good food.

DD has gone out with friends this evening and I'm on pick up duty, so it will be a slightly later night for me. We've compromised on 10.30pm though :o

Money still under control and this week should be 4 NSD.

Moving back to the gym topic - I'm enjoying the feeling of my strength being built up. It's hard to describe the feeling of satisfaction and it's not weight loss yet, although I have lost a few pounds. However, I feel lighter and fitter. It was definitely the right thing to do and thanks HDK for showing me the way :T

Finally, no dinner this evening as we were too full from lunch :)

Have a good week, to all teachers, enjoy the countdown to holidays.

    Best wishes, Tilly x

Well done on the fitness stuff Tilly. Doesn't it make a difference. I really noticed how much more fit for life I was when we went to Goodwood recently. I walked around for hours and hours without skipping a beat.

The really weird thing with exercise is that when you've been doing enough of it, your body actually misses it when you take a break! One week to go and back to half marathon training :coffee:
