Glad to read so much positive stuff Tilly, it's all good!

Except for the raspberries though ... Ours have disappeared too, slugs and snails is it or cheeky blackbirds? x
    Sawfly :eek::eek::eek:

Definitely not happy about that :(

  • Morning, sun is shining :)

1p TT to MoS - every little helps apparently :)

I can't remember whether I posted about Mr Ts bike. He had ordered one via £co, bike was on offer but multiple problems trying to collect it. The shop gave Mr T almost £100 of extra stuff for the bike by way of compensation. As Mr T was going to put some things on his xmas list, this was good news. Funny how a frustration can turn into a reward.

Pasta, chorizo and veg in a creme fraiche and chilli sauce last night. This evening DD is making a quiche and a bean salad.

Freezer contents are finally reducing :). May sound quite mad but I'm looking forward to turning it off, defrosting, cleaning and filling up in September :)

    £3 PC claimed

£100 S&S restaurant vouchers requested. That's the meal paid for on the night we set off on holiday :)

This year is truly flying. 8 July already and the kids will be away for a couple of weeks from the end of July and then we are off on hols too. Can't wait.

This evening I have some admin to do for the house abroad. Plus Mr T is going to update the financials. It's good to know all big spending is finished until Xmas.

No other money news - hatches are battened, pockets are deep and purse is empty :).

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • The really weird thing with exercise is that when you've been doing enough of it, your body actually misses it when you take a break! One week to go and back to half marathon training :coffee:

I can't say I understand this yet but I definitely can feel and see a difference. Whether I ever get to the point of missing it, is another matter. For now though, I am happy that I have committed and am enjoying it.

Well done on the 1/2 marathon. The determination you need to complete these races astounds me. Do you intend training for full marathons?

I'm not convinced that I could Tilly :)

The good thing about a half is that it's a challenge, burns a lot of calories, but doesn't take too bloomin' long! I think that I'd probably end up resenting any exercise routine where you had to do something for 4 hours! :rotfl:

    Tilly x

Just saw your message about the footie.

As I was in Germany last week, I decided to cheer for them. But after 3 goals, I started to feel sorry for Brazil- they must be devastated.

  • What a night.

I'm not sure what to say but the people in Brazil must feel devastated.

I went to bed at half time as it was too much for me :o

I did a Zumba class with DD early evening yesterday and Pilates this evening. Loving it :). What I am seeing is a definite improvement in muscle mass. I feel stronger and there's less wobble :rotfl: Long way to go yet though.

Money - DD has a return to do late afternoon - better to get the money back into her account. She cleared her wardrobe of everything she never wears and has a list of a few pieces to buy to make the most of her remaining clothes. She's really thinking it through which is good to see.

DS appears to have grown again  He must have grown 8" this year - is that really possible?

The quiche DD made last night was delicious - tonight it's going to be a beef and mushroom pie, served with mashed carrots and broccoli. I think she's going to make that as well :T

Back to money - we are due about £60 from H dot com. This has been a surprise as we didn't realise it would build up so quickly. Still have to see how long it takes to pay, or whether it is paid.

After class this evening I'm ironing. I want to keep on top of it rather having a couple of hours to do. Plus the kids need ferrying back and forth, so a fair bit to fit in to the night.

A few negotiations taking place at work to see if my future can be changed - time will tell.

Right, I'd better crack on. Have a good day and hope the rain misses us all.

    Best wishes Tilly x
