  • Morning, A levels, birthday preparation, work plans etc have definitely interrupted my diary but hopefully normal service will return soon.

Reckless news for anyone who reads my diary regularly - I'm not menu planning for July - I'm emptying the freezer. Every night I will take something out ready for the following day :o:rotfl:

    58p TT to MOS
£3 PC PP recd and OPd

    Travel insurance quote obtained.
Mum's insurance sorted but no cashback - saved her over £130 though :T

Just listening to the R4 news - discussions about Sainsburys/Netto, Morrisons etc - I've shopped in L!dl/Aldi since I lived abroad in the early 90s. I mixed shopping between Tesc@, Asd@ and L/A. Now I shop mainly in L!dl and then a few bits in WR - only bargainous stuff really. The range in L!dl is definitely increasing - I just hope they never open larger shops. It takes me 30 minutes to whizz round L!dl and that makes a big difference to a T£sco shop.

Right I'd better crack on and walk the hounds.

    Hello again everybody.

Hope you don't mind my barging in on your thread again.

Just wanted to share my news: today a judge signed off on my claim, so I should have enough money to pay off my mortgage within a month or so. :D

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Great news Lydia :T:T:T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Morning

Dd has last exam today :j:j:j

    68p Tilly Tidied to MOS
    £3 PC OPd
    £10 HF shuffle OPd

Payday for Mr T at the end of the week - this should be the first correct payment - first was taxed too much, second returned incorrectly taken tax, now we will know exactly how much he will receive :T

I said we had one more expensive item to purchase and then we were battening down the hatches. I've decided to move that money into an offset Pot. It's ready for the purchase but can continue to offset until required. This way I won't see the money in the main account :)

The PT sessions are starting to pay dividends. I feel much better physically than I have for months. I can see I'm losing inches but scales don't tell me the same story. I've lost 8lbs in total (need to check sig) but the physical change is great. Still a long journey ahead but I'm setting myself some mini goals to help.

I'd better go and walk the hounds.

Have a good day - sun is beaming and after the thunder and rain let yesterday the air smells glorious.

  • Hi Tilly

I think once I've had my holiday I will be on the exercise band wagon too. Its lovely to see you and people like HelenDaveKids doing really well, eating well and being strong, which isn't something we always see in todays world. So well done!
On a different note I've also been using up our freezer and store cupboard contents and although I've been free styling it a bit I also made a list of meals I could possibly make with the contents of freezer/store cupboard which has really helped especially when the kids reach the 'feed me now' stage!
