The RM Survey stuff could you explain what this is/how it works sounds interesting.
I generally use TD all year round, although sheets tend to go outside when it dry/warm enough. Hot fold everything then I don't have to iron it leaves me my Sunday evening, which means I sometimes actually make it to an evening service (without kids to worry about, awesome).
Enjoy your trip away.0 -
It has rained pretty much all day today
where's the sunshine gone?

I'm just popping out of lurkdom to say hello! I've been reading since Brizzle introduced me to your TT's, which I am delighted to say I've introduced to my daily routine and I'm already completely addicted

I also wanted to say just how inspired I am by your journey and your progress. I've said to Brizzle that she is where I would like to be in a couple of years, and you are definitely where I want to be a few years after that with regard to finances. If I hadn't chanced upon your diary I wouldn't even have dreamed it was possible to make such progress and it has inspired me to knuckle down even more and just get on with things as the end goal is so rewarding
:)
So if you don't mind I will continue to follow, I will try my best to contribute but at the moment I am mainly reading during night feeds and running around after a toddler and a newborn during the day, so chances to post are few and far between!! I will pop in whenever I can though
promise!!

Evening SlowlyFading, it's been the same here and where Mr T has been it's been hail as well as rain.
The sun and a bit of blue sky - such a pick-me-up - typing this whilst listening to the rain.
Maybe it will pop back tomorrow?

Evening Daisy, how lovely that you've popped out of lurkdom - feel free to post whenever you like. It's hard with two little ones but also a time filled with joy as you watch them grow. I laugh when I think back at my son - he's over 6' now - where did those years go

If I've done anything which has inspired you, then I'm truly delighted. So many people inspired me to start and I too lurked for a long time before starting a diary. It has been one of the best things I have ever done.
I've found TTs help the 'in between times', otherwise I feel like I'm constantly waiting for payday :rotfl:
Thanks for dropping by.

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Evening, Zumba was FAB. Loved every minute of it - worked hard, smiled or laughed for an hour and had a good time with DD.
Flights, car hire, return taxi all booked :T:T

I am conscious that I've spent a bit of money recently what with joining a gym, PT, now a trip away but.......... I'm investing in my future, both physical and mental.
I don't buy magazines, or books (apart from the occasional cookery book), eat out only occasionally, rarely buy takeaways, don't pop to the pub unless there's a monthly event I'm going to. I menu plan and buy stuff on offer to stock up - so actually, I'm glad I/we can be spontaneous and jump at opportunities as they pass by occasionally.
Time to jump in the shower and hopefully have a good night's sleep.

RM surveys - I'd recommend them. Takes a couple of weeks to get into the routine. You receive a pack of stuff to post, labels to stick on, on line schedule tells you what to post when, but it's also on the paperwork which comes through the post.Welshlassie wrote: »The RM Survey stuff could you explain what this is/how it works sounds interesting.

You receive stamps as your reward, the occasional box to post where you have to pay and you are reimbursed with L2S vouchers (I wasn't happy about that at first but it's not often and I'm saving them for Xmas). There's a bit of on line activity, recording specific post which you've received from other survey posters, updating what you've sent when and where it was posted.
Hopefully someone will come along with link, or I'll check tomorrow. It took a while and I think I applied twice from memory.
RM, PC, S&S, CP are all excellent IMO. I've not had any problems.
Our church doesn't do a Sunday evening service sadly - it does mean though that I get to put my feet up and do nothing.
Best wishes Tilly x x
I'm so looking forward to it Squirrel. I was talking to an MSE chum the other day and looking out of the window at the rain - decision madeSecret_Saving_Squirrel wrote: »We'll done you on booking the flights. Sounds like it will be a lovely break,
