Thanks for providing the link Bookworm, much appreciated.

Hope all is going well with you.

You are very welcome and all good here thanks. Still chipping away at the MFW thing 'behind the scenes' whilst trying to remember what the important things in life are

    :)
  • Evening, busy and productive day - off to the gym tomorrow and enjoying it so far. Need to get much fitter than I am.

Need to chase mystery dining money as reimbursement hasn't come through.

What a relief to get the washing on the line - dogs beds will be remade and they can sleep the sleep of the just this evening :)

DD and I have made Saving with JO sausage cassoulet - cooked and ready to warm through when Mr T gets home. I've thrown some frozen spinach in as well and boiled some new potatoes.

We've had a very good approach this week to food and the stocks are slowing going down in the fridge. The potato salad last night will definitely become a regular on the menu. Project use up has seen 3 empty jars going into recycling today :)

I'm feeling in the mood for some ME dishes and have some lamb in the freezer. Will check out recipes ready for dinner on Saturday.

Mr T will be home a little earlier this evening and the dogs will be delighted - it's lovely to see them loving him when he walks in.

Hope everyone's enjoyed some sun today.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • We are using things up too and now have a mountain of Tupperware tubs for the first time in years!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Hi Squirrel, I must admit I'm enjoying the de-cluttering aspect of using stuff up. I too have a load of plastic boxes growing in the garage :)

Tilly - have gotten my hands on a borrow of THIS tome....... *gasp* is all, *gasp*...........:D

Could see ya rockin' the cocktails page, particularly if entertaining any fellow MSE'rs............. :D

Just your cuppa of a recipe book methinks :D

  • Evening, finished dinner off with defrosted raspberries from last year's crop, a good dollop of low fat creme fraiche with a little vanilla extract, a little dark chocolate grated on the top of each bowl and a light dusting of icing sugar - it was delicious and so quick :T

Cassoulet dish is a keeper and DD is adding it to her recipe book.

£co have mailed with an offer of an extra £3 for two sales through certain providers, both of which Mr T needs to use next week, so he's booking tonight :)

I'm definitely feeling better about the portion sizes we are eating, plus more fruit, veg. This coupled with the extra exercise must pay dividends. I'm finding it interesting to see what can be substituted in a dish both in terms of health but also using stuff up.

A couple of YG surveys in the bag today :)

Right I'm off to run a bath for Mr T :o

Yup, total empathy with this, having emptied freezer of strange and forgotten meals and downsized to smaller freezer we've now had to free up a cupboard for plastic pots as well as try to keep them with the correct lids!

Potato salad is lovely Tilly, with you on that one. Have you tried making garlic mayonnaise for it and cooking tatties in with a sprig of mint too? It's the stuff summer was made for!

Definitely going to see whether the library has a copy, if not it may have to go on the *list*

Love Potato salad, DH makes it with hard boiled eggs sounds a bit weird but tastes amazing.
  • Morning, £3 PC arrived and OPd, 48p TT to MOS.

Tilly Tidies will go to MOS, anything else (surveys, cashback) will go to capital repayment.

Off for PT session in half an hour. Looking forward to it and scared all at the same time :rotfl:

Jobs for today - clean DS bedroom ready for his return.
Do weekly shop rather than on Saturday
    Walk the hounds
Get 1P up to date for both of us
    Polish and vacuum our bedroom
    Wash winter coats-walking trousers
Move tins from kitchen cupboards to larder in garage (it's easier to see what I've got then)

    I'd better get cracking

    Enjoy the sun, Tilly x
