  • Absolutely brilliant news! A new chapter indeed. Well done Mr T. So happy for you all.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Can anyone else hear a new master plan hatching from the direction of this diary ?

I reckon now that Tilly is a dab hand at managing on less it might carry on for a wee while longer and huge swathes of mortgage debt lying culled at the side of the road will be the result :)

If anyone can it's the Tilly household ;)
  • Evening, all messages passed on to Mr T.

The application, interviews, then meetings took just over three months - what a nightmare

It is a huge relief and an exciting opportunity for him.

Toad in the Hole for dinner. Menu plan is working well. I can't believe how much food we have in there :o

It's hard to believe that it's nearly menu planning time again - at some point next week we will update the inventories and I can get planning.

It's likely still to be operation freezer use up as it still seems full.

Project bread making kicks off this weekend. It's been so busy recently we haven't had enough time to just be. That's what the project is all about. Just me and Mr T :)

We're off out this evening and looking forward to relaxing.

    Have a good evening.

Thank you to everyone who has posted supportive and thoughtful comments, they have REALLY helped to keep us going.

Congratulations to Mr T and the Tilly household. I know it has been a long time coming but I can't help but feel the timing is perfect. Are you going to continue living on the bare minimum?

We may just have a little plan. I say we, as Mr T and I discussed and agreed what we want to achieve and it's possible :)

We are having a few days of R&R together soon and then it's operation 'mortgage offset'. We will be saving all OPs and offsetting.

Really looking forward to the coming months :):)

  • Been lurking on this blog for a while (saving for a deposit rather than paying a mortgage) but I just wanted to de-lurk to say congratulations to Mr Tilly! :j

    Yep we are :)

I have some saving pots, such as car maintenance etc that need topping up and the entertainment pot will be resurrected. After that's its all going to offset.

It's so lovely to see him tonight, he hasn't stopped smiling yet :rotfl:
