Lovely walk with sun shining and hounds running free. Beautiful sight.
Enjoying a free cuppa in W@itrose and Mr T and DS are meeting friends for breakfast.
SD, we will make a reasonable OP each month but balance will go into offset savings. The mortgage is 'covered' by an endowment which pays out next year and if I'm made redundant that will clear the rest, based on today's figures.
Plan is to create an offset pot to fund a refurbishment programme for our other house, in readiness for retiring early:):). He's younger than I am so whilst we will both retire early, I'd like to go within the next couple of years, he may want to do longer. That's fine by me :T
We are researching retirement stuff at the moment, to make sure we are ok.
With the role Mr T has now, there are going to be good opportunities for someone with his skills and experience - he's been fairly canny about where he's applied to, as he's looking towards the future. I feel really proud of him.
I don't feel inspirational, in fact my diary has definitely gone through a slump in terms of motivation but hopefully that will come back now. We both feel as though we have air under our feet right now :rotfl:
I'd better drink my tea now and shopping.

I think the 'slump' makes it even more inspirational. You have never once given in or taken your eye off the ball. Tough times just shows you are human.

Tilly, you made the stress of having an unemployed adult in the family look more enjoyable than some people's everyday lives, kudos
Ps. Sorry that a job as a postie was the best he could find, especially seeing as it's payment in kind and he just gets to keep what he finds re. packages :rotfl:
Pps. No offence to posties, you do a great job :beer:0 -
Edinburgher just made me snort coffee all over the place earning a scornful look from my friend's five year old!!!!

Good afternoon,
What a morning, hounds walked, peaceful cuppa in WR, C@stco trip (without Mr T). L!dl, S&S done, freezer inventory complete and menu plan almost finished.
I haven't stopped for 5 hours and I'm having a break now :rotfl: Veg planting may have to wait until later today or tomorrow. Washing and ironing can wait - it will get done at some point tomorrow or Monday.
Sun is shining but it's really cold
Mr T is contemplating decorating our bedroom before he starts work - not sure I can face more shifting, sorting, cleaning etc.
Thanks for your messages, I/we really appreciate them.
Best wishes, Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
