  • Morning, slightly later start but we're off walking shortly.

I'm doing some more veg seed planting in the garden this morning, hopefully the rain holds off.

Because I want to have a restful afternoon, I'm going to do the freezer inventory at some point before late afternoon and then I'll cosy up with a selection of books to plan.

Books for the month: Nigel Slater - Tender; Leith's Veg Bible; Save with JO; SW Curry.

Mr T and I are having a few days away so I'll need to plan some simple meals for the DKs to prepare (or heat HM meals).

RM survey stuff is pretty full on. We seem to have multiple things arriving daily at the moment. I'm no sure how he knows what to post next, but it's all under control. This little task will be passing to me and the kids

I have a free voucher for coffee and cake to use - Mr T and I may disappear tomorrow afternoon and enjoy some catch up time.

I'd better get cracking, the dogs are woofing :o

Using future salary details, this shows the Budget will make us circa £350 better off per year. Time will tell.

  • Good morning Tilly

Ditto - the budget calculator reckons we will also be £350-ish/year better off!

I used to use small post-it notes on the RMS survey envelopes - date, time, location

    Have a great day :D

Thanks for posting that link Tilly. According to the calculator we will be £280 better off a year.

Can't wait to see your new plans for when you will become MF :). Sounds like you are going to be putting everything into the Offset accounts rather than making direct overpayments?

So very pleased for you both Tilly, some great news at last!

Made me smile for many reasons, not least because you really deserve this brilliant turn of fortunes, but also because after all the RM survey malarkey Mr T goes and gets a new job ... complete with a package! :rotfl: Hope it has enough stamps on it to take you all the way (and beyond)

Seriously, much happiness to you and all eyes now on that signature! X

  • Hello Tilly, I've been lurking on your thread, it was the first one I found when I came on here. I haven't read it all but have got the gist of recent events I think - congrats to Mr T! I hope things are much easier for you going forward. Your upbeat nature has been really inspiring to me.

    Have a great weekend xx
