Hi, how does it work Tilly? Doesn't Mr T qualify for further help?

Like the idea of getting some herbs underway. If I feel up to it later I may do some planting. Hopefully this good weather is here for a bit, although indeed a dull day here so far

We are having HM burgers (variation on a girl called a jack ones I suspect) with HM pittas (recipe from Elaine on MFi3 blog...it's magic.) we often make naan breads etc but I am very taken with these pitta breads and they are SO quick to make.

    Hope everyone is OK

Hi Brizzle, he is only eligible for 6 months unemployment money - after that there's nothing as the household income is too high for help. Don't start me on that one as he's worked for years and years and contributed to the government/country :o

I've never tried making pitta breads, will put that on the list for project bread making.

HDK, I've done that a few times when labels fell off. I'm using masking tape and a sharpie pen now and hopefully that's the last of mystery meals :rotfl:

Finished work now and glad to have the night ahead of us. Will be herb planting inside :)

    Personally, I think that's outrageous!!
When he does find employment he'd never get away with saying "I'm not paying my tax because my household pays enough tax"!
It's like they're using the stoppage as an incentive for him to get back into work quicker but it's not as if he's not sat on his backside, expecting work to find him, is he?
    It's scandalous!!

  • Morning Thistle, I feel like that as well.

We are fortunate that we can manage and still be saving :o if only bits and pieces.

Middle of the week already - out tonight and looking forward to a good old catch up.

Out on Friday and I'm hoping we have a weekend of peace and quiet?

Payday is Friday and so far on track to have funds left to move to saving :T

Have a good day, Tilly x

Just dropped in to catch up, and wanted to add my belated best wishes for a lovely new job for Mr T to everyone else's. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
  • Morning, hounds walked  That was an early start to the day.

I can't keep track of updating sig, but basically I'm averaging 4.5 miles 6 days a week :)

I am feeling fitter, still get out of breath as we're walking pretty quickly but I'm on the cusp of needing to walk for the way I feel afterwards, which is excellent. I've lost over an inch from my waist and I can feel muscles :T OK still a huge way to go but I'm up and doing something which is great.

Lovely night out yesterday with much laughter and talking. So looking forward to the time when we are both retired and have time :)

    Better run, Tilly x

    How are things with you?

Mr T is pretty busy with interviews and stuff but no offer on the table yet, which is what we need.

I've only just noticed your mortgage signature Tils - I think it was circa 190K last time I noticed :T

For Mr T - the right job for you is still out there. The universe hasn't forgotten, it's just fine-tuning the specifications to make certain the job is good enough FOR YOU :smileyhea

Thanks Tilly. I'm fine. Usual stuff keeping me busy. Work is pretty frantic as per usual for the penultimate week of term, one of my kids has had a couple of days off school (nothing serious, just an ear infection) and the other kid has been busy being in a play.

One of the companies involved in my late-nearly-ex-husband's accident has got new solicitors who seem to want to make progress faster than the old lot, so maybe I'll be rid of this "mortgage" this year. :)
