Hang in there, it'll happen. Been through the same thing (twice) with my DH and it's not fun. Especially when said DH spent 95% of his day on the computer - so much Wikipedia, so little time.
Anyway, we had many anxious moments (well, I did anyway) but he got another job and we survived. The economy is better now than it was then, believe it or not, and this time of year is good for job-hunting, what with many companies having new budgets in April/new tax year.
Good luck to Mr T and to you, chin up and have a dodgy hug. :grouphug:0 -
Hope things pick up for you soon Tilly :grouphug:0

Tilly am sure this frustrating job situation isn't because Mr.T's not right for the jobs he's applying for, it's that the right job that's waiting for him hasn't come along yet. Fingers crossed it's just around the corner.

Whenever I have been unsuccessful at a job interview, I always remind myself that the person who did get the job was successful because they are more experienced or qualified than I am. I know that the employer is a fair one, because I applied to work for them and I wouldn't do so if they were bad or unethical employers. So, I remain upbeat and wish the successful candidate good luck and move on, because one day, I will be the most qualified and experienced person for the job.
Mr T's time will come, and when it does, it will be the right job for him.
I will keep my bits crossed in the hope it comes soon and it is everything he hopes it will be.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Hi Tilly,
It's rotten that Mr T hasn't been lucky in the job hunt. I imagine that that is very unsettling and a constant source of worry. I know how I felt when I lost my job in 2009 but it was very strange because things just seemed to click into place and things came along when I least expected them. Now I'm much more happy in my work life but it took a good 12 months to get it established.
My mum always says, what's for you, won't go past you and that if you're unlucky in something, it's that the right thing hasn't come along yet.
I appreciate these words are a little hollow if you're still struggling, but once it does come right, I'm sure they'll make more sense.
Much love to the Tillies!!!

Thank you for all the lovely posts. It's quite an emotional roller coaster of a journey, and I can tell from my diary that I'm quite up and down, as are the family. I'm normally a fairly hyper person so the down bits are difficult.
DD and I had a lovely night out together yesterday. She's a pretty amazing young lady.
No real money news but that's because we don't spend much.
