That's what our meetings are like, never mind our conference calls :rotfl:.

You G survey yesterday and I have a couple of free beauty treatments from them as well. I'm booking manicures. Plus I've contacted the local college and have booked a deluxe pedicure for £10 for end February :T. I've set myself a challenge though to save/find the money for it, rather than withdrawing it from the bank. Fingers crossed.

I'll be very interested to hear how you get on Tilly! Our local college is approx 4 mins down the road and is next door to my GP surgery and I keep meaning to pop in to find out their prices. Paid a fair bit for some treats for my mum at a local hair & beauty salon for Christmas but I think I may get more for the money if I try the college instead ... and of course I'll need to try out a few treats too first, just to make sure they are disabled-friendly for her, of course!

Keep us posted as you 'step' into the unknown Tilly!

Glad your dinner went well too

  • Morning, I think we've been doing a MWC evening. Mr T is currently dismantling kitchen table in the dining room, and reinstalling it in its rightful place.

Food went down well and I'd only made a little more than needed. Miss T has lunch for Monday ready to go :)

Finances all up to date. Mr T is definitely right to update the spreadsheet every day, makes for far less work.

Last two packs of rib eye steak removed from the freezer this morning - dinner will be steak, salad and jacket potatoes.

Church, dog walking and chilling are the order of the day with a little ironing thrown in for good measure.

    Have a good Sunday.

When I was a student I used to go to my college to get my haircut. I was very nervous at first but I shouldn't have been. All my flatmates started going after that for colours etc. Definitely give it a go.

  • Hi Tilly,

Seriously jealous about your chillaxing day - I'm sat at the dining room table doing my month end. Even though it has recently been computerised, it still takes me ages!!!

    Morning Habi,

Will certainly let you know how it goes. Prices are really reasonable and it would be fab to have a treat once a month at the right price.

    Best wishes Tilly x

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi Tilly

I am also loving a Middle Eastern theme for cooking at the moment. Mainly recipes from Arabesque by Claudia Roden but we have just had some amazing roast potatoes with rosemary, lamb chops with olives, preserved lemons peppers and capers and spinach cooked in cream..absolutely delicious. That was BBCGood F&&d I think. (OH cooked it!:D)

I have also discovered pomegranate molasses...my new flavour of choice..I love the sweet/sour taste of it:)

I know you said you were on an alcohol free Feb...but I was gob smacked by a Romanian Pinot Noir from WR this week. It was excellent and half the price of the other ones...and it was bought for entertainment purposes after all :)

Must heave myself off the sofa now and clear up:rotfl: before a nice walk in the sunshine..but I think more rain is on it's way :(
