Morning, raining here but not as blustery as yesterday.

Hi Tilly, glad you're back on the mend

I lol'd at blustery, I wish I could say that about here, is there a word for horizontal rain, G force winds and puddles you can lose your car in? Its absolutely freezing as well!

Lol Gally, keep up, Ed already makes his own houmous, how much more organic can you get, he even does fancy variations with it! That reminds me, still not had a chance to try Ed's houous recipe yet!

The wind is picking up more here as well and it hasn't stopped raining. We came back from church, went to let the dogs out into the garden and one of them backed away from the door :rotfl: Too wet for her I think.

Homebrewing ... I have some of the makings already ... really want to do this, but not yet. For the first go, maybe kits is best? Too many projects currently on the go to do it at all! Must try harder. But I love the home brewing talk, I've been on wilko's site this morning, thoroughly enjoying HB fantasies :)
I've toyed with wine kits before but never bitten the bullet. However, I've ordered Mr T the lager kit from Wilko as a test - it's not his birthday for a few months though :o

    Best wishes Tilly x

Anyone know why my smilies no longer work????

Tilly, it's days like today which makes me very glad to have cats.....they walk themselves!!! (or not, as the case may be.....)
I have one cat who loves being out in all weathers and the other doesn't like stepping out if the ground is damp - so funny to see her in the rain. It's like watching a child trying to miss puddles :rotfl: whereas the other cat is like a child trying to jump in all the puddles :rotfl:

I'm hoping so - when I'm posting questions on why has it gone wrong, be gentle :rotfl:

  • Hi Brizzle, we had a short sharp burst of rain this afternoon and I was glad the kids had just arrived home - they'd have been soaked to the skin otherwise.

    Hope your week goes well.

Evening, busy couple of days with Dr/hospital visits. Funeral tomorrow and frankly, I'll be glad when the week is over.

On a positive note, mortgage down to just under £176k :T

£175k was my next goal and we're so close.

This includes a one off over payment - Mr T and I were chatting about having some work done and as the money was available, it was tempting to do it. I made a capital repayment to stop us. We can take it back if we want to but are more unlikely to. MOS have reduced as a result, but less temptation.

    NSD achieved.

Hope everyone is prepared for this next wave of poor weather. Who knows whether it will arrive, but I'm hoping we don't get the snow.

    Night, Tilly x

ETA - not sure I can call this a NSD given I paid off a chunk of mortgage but as it didn't come out of JA, I'm still claiming NSD :)

  • Hi Tilly,

I'd definitely say it was still an NSD as even though you overpaid, the money didn't "leave the system". It was clearly a shifting of funds! Lol x
