Morning, Mr T is having a lie in today. I'm going to prepare the dinner for this evening. Pig cheeks, onion and parsnip in cider - chucking into the SC. Sadly I've lost my cooking mojo and hope it returns soon
Shopping was £12 under budget and I will be shopping for bargainous items on Xmas eve. I have all the meats in the freezer and need to buy fresh veg and salads.
I'm cleaning out the kitchen and garage fridges shortly. Washing and ironing is up to date. Mr T has taken over most of the household chores at the moment but as mad as it sounds, I miss ironing. I love seeing a mess and making it neat - yep, sad I know.
Miss T is out for dinner and we are seeing friends for a long dog walk in the woods then back to us for dinner. Will light the 3rd candle after dinner.
On Tuesday night Mr T and I start personal training sessions - unbeknown to us, DS covers this in school, so he's training us :T.
No spend day ahead.

Tilly, I love how you losing your mojo still sounds more exciting than 75% of the populations' dinner0 -
I have lost my total mojo.0

Morning, lets hope all mojo's return in the new year
Wll be in the office early today. Chilli for this evening made yesterday. It's from Nigella Feast and has a cornbread topping which Mr T will make today.
I have a long weekend coming up and am looking forward to a 4 day week :T
Out three nights but all in all a non spending week - payday on Friday and money still in the bank. I think January will be a no spend month (on food) with the exception of milk, fresh veg and fruit. Cash payments only. This year when I had a go, it was a great success and it helps turn the freezer contents over.

I know a horse called Mojo. It would be a great name for a dog.0

Morning, I am so looking forward to the shortest day knowing that we start the journey to light mornings and long lighter evenings :T
There's a fair amount of discussion in the Tilly household about mum and what we will do when she's here. I'm investigating choral performances but on a budget - not easy.
There's a lot of discussion about food banks and the hole they are filling. So sad that they are required but they perform a superb service. I'm doing a collection at work and we are putting a box of items together to drop off at church this weekend.
Mr T has finished painting all the walls and ceiling now, he's starting on the woodwork today. The hall, stairs and landing will be finished by Friday with curtains washed and back up (he's determined they are washed and I've been told off for suggesting 'just vacuum them' :rotfl:). Froggy suggested using a plastic sheeting (sort of sticky) to put on the floor and that was much easier and safer than dust sheets.
It looks lovely and will look elegant when finished - well that's the hope
98p TT to MOS, I like keeping the accounts neat and tidy - just wish there was more money coming in. We are doing well with the food bills though
To encourage my cooking mojo to return, I'm trying some more Tom Kerridge recipes this weekend. I fancy trying his stuffed turkey leg but not for Xmas. I'll be looking for a bargainous one for the freezer.

Thanks for helping with the food banks, where I work relays on them over Christmas , I have just cleared my wardrobe for clothes for my clients, and picked some up to......... The food is desperately needed. XxxxDec 2011 £141,000 / dec 2013 £135,000/ Jan 2014 £131,000 / July 2014 £129 0000 -
Morning, :santa2::santa2::santa2: won't be long.
Today is my Friday and I'm having a long weekend and it will be a spend day. Lunch with colleagues, then meeting friends for a drink before going out to a concert. Dinner will be a hastily thrown together pasta dish.
Mr T has finished the decorating and it looks fab. We bought all the paint months ago during an offer, so it's been fairly cheap to do. Once the kitchen is painted, again we have the paint, it will have saved us around £1500.
1p TT to MOS - go Mrs T :T
@Money Curious, it's surprised me that talk of food banks has been fairly emotive at work with a section, albeit small, very anti them. Given people are put forward to go, then their need is clear. The reasons why they need to go are myriad and things do need to change in terms of benefits, however in the meantime, they need to live, feed families etc.
