On a financial front, just to prove my diary is still about MFW stuff - I reworked my figures today and even if Mr T doesn't work again (you can see it is playing on my mind), with my salary increase and new bonus structure I can have us MF by December 2016. That means we would be able to use the endowment to refurb the house. I do appreciate bonuses are not a given, they have to be earned but I work hard, achieve pretty good things and need to keep this momentum up.
On the other hand, if he is fortunate to find a role I may have just worked out that we can be MF by June 2015. This would have me doing a bit of :T and a few :j. I am holding on to my faith that things will sort themselves out.
All is not lost on the MF journey, and this forum is a pretty splendid place to hang out.
Night, Tilly x
Just wanted to say that I loved your cheerful approach in this post. So nice to readAnd of course you will do it!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Your new MFW 'working outs' are impressive. This time last year DH was out of work having being made redundant and got a new job in the New Year. Fingers crossed that it will be the same for Mr. Tilly too (although I'm sure it will)

Hi Watty and SD, thanks for your comments - it's certainly a pretty scary time but we are weathering the storm

Morning, seems extra dark this morning
93p Tilly Tidy to MOS
45p Tilly Tidy to MOS
£3 PC claimed and Mr T will check PP. Will move to MOS once it arrives in the bank.
CP survey completed.
£50 in total waiting in CP and S&S. I normally claim straight away but not sure which vouchers to have. May save up restaurant vouchers for the night before our hols next summer. A free meal would be a good start.
Amaz@n has £80 in credit. Intend saving this towards birthdays next year.
LV £30, Nectar £7.11 - will use this towards Xmas
Working from home today and in the office tomorrow. Mr T and I can get out to walk the dogs at lunchtime
I can't remember what's on the menu plan for this evening - will check shortly as I may need a freezer raid.
We are off to buy some new clothes for Mr T on Friday evening. Money is available in the clothing pot but that will be emptied then. I may try SSS's 'no clothes buying for a year' approach in 2014.
Have a good Thursday, soon be the weekend

First Sunday in advent tomorrow and e trees and decs are going up :T
Santa sleigh making on the cards for today, after a walk with the hounds.
My lovely Mr T had a brain melt down yesterday and signed up to a scam which could have worked out pretty expensive. 4 phone calls between last night and this morning to resolve but we are done - thank goodness. A lesson for the kids as well as it helps them to learn.
Free eye test for Mr T tomorrow and I've ordered a voucher for me to have one, along with £45 towards new glasses :T. Thank you kind employer.
Dinner this evening is chicken something or other with fruity cous cous. SW recipe care of Froggy's recipe books.
I made a lovely oxtail stew for mum in the SC yesterday and made up mashed potatoes this morning. Just need to cook broccoli and lunch is sorted.
No pennies anywhere to TT
That's all for now.
Have a lovely Saturday and soon be Christmas :xmassmile

Am with you on that comment Tilly that the lists are looking FAR too long so effectively don't start them...feel like I am heading into that space myself. Still, there are a few days to go so I can formally panic later!:) I am also trying to resist so I stay on my DF journey so ignoring some pressures to do stuff and buy stuff, including food!!!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
