Evening, thankfully Mr T had made the dinner as I didn't get home until 6pm and Mondays are quick turnaround nights, as the kids are out.

Came in to a huge row, which sadly I misunderstood, queue apologies to kids. I think Mr T is struggling with not working and is short tempered at the moment.

We are off out tonight for some quiet contemplation and hopefully this will help.

I need to check my bank account and see if the other TCB payment has come through. I also asked Mr T to buy a £10 Amazon code for £5 thanks to Grabbit and reminded him to go through TCB - if they payout a £10 voucher will have cost just under £4.50 :j

    Have a good evening.

  • Morning Tatty, hope all is well with you. I agree, I think a few months of peace and good health (stability) would be excellent :o

  • Good morning,

TCB money £11.80 has arrived and moved to MOS :)

Mr Ts job seeker money has arrived and also moved to MOS :)

After the above two shuffles, no pennies to Tilly Tidy :(

Beautiful evening and it did Mr T the world of good.

Dinner this evening is JO hash - partially made over the weekend so hopefully quick to finish. I never take any notice of his JO 30 minute timetable - they really never are

Early calls then in the office. Mr T is continuing with the decorating and walking the dogs with DD early afternoon.

£10 Amaz@n voucher applied to account yesterday - good buy.

All in all things are going ok at the moment. Job hunting continues and no news on that front atm. Once Mr T has finished the decorating, if he still hasn't found a job he's going to volunteer at the charity we support. Wide variety of activities are needed to run it and it will provide structure etc.

That's all for now - have a good day.

  • Fab idea to keep Mr T busy and in a routine, will look great on his cv that he has been productive and self-motivated:D.

We have days when we shout too much at the children and it is rarely (feeling generous at the moment!) their fault, just bad days at the office and the never-ending rush against a clock - how much am i looking forward to the Christmas holidays:beer:

  • Evening, what a fab night. I managed to get tickets to see Saving Mr Banks and it was FANTASTIC. DD and I both cried and clapped at the end.

I had already made the dinner so it just needed warming up and small roasties cooked. Apparently it went down well and Mr T was complimentary, so I guess it tasted OK. DD and I had to have a rushed dinner and ate F&C in about 7 mins

On a financial front, just to prove my diary is still about MFW stuff - I reworked my figures today and even if Mr T doesn't work again (you can see it is playing on my mind), with my salary increase and new bonus structure I can have us MF by December 2016. That means we would be able to use the endowment to refurb the house. I do appreciate bonuses are not a given, they have to be earned but I work hard, achieve pretty good things and need to keep this momentum up.

On the other hand, if he is fortunate to find a role I may have just worked out that we can be MF by June 2015 :o. This would have me doing a bit of :T and a few :j. I am holding on to my faith that things will sort themselves out.

All is not lost on the MF journey, and this forum is a pretty splendid place to hang out.

    Night, Tilly x

Morning Tilly, nothing like a good rework of the numbers to keep the motivation going :) I'm sure Mr T will get a job in the new year (lots of companies release their budgets either Jan or March)

  • Hi LauraJo, she's doing ok but feeling pretty vulnerable. We all need to live our lives when young and able as it's tough when your independence dwindles.

    Thanks for stopping by.
