  • Evening TEoTR and FloppyDisk, Mr T did a fair amount of research today but looks like we will go for the 3% one. It's difficult to make the decision but it offers us the greatest saving.

  • Evening, not quite the day I had expected. I ended up having to drive to see my mum who is feeling very under the weather. She has experienced a lot in the last three years and is definitely struggling.

    It's a good job I work for a supportive company :o

Have a good evening - hope the threat of snow disappears.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Sorry to hear that. Hope your mum feels stronger soon

Can't wait to reverse the direction of the Brizzle family TTs from CC debt to a mortgage OP pot (I can only overpay in £100 + chunks) :T

Did you say a few weeks ago you had sorted your summer holidays? It's so cold here I can see why I am finding myself strangely drawn to thinking about sun and R&R!

  • Hi Brizzle, it will SO exciting when you switch from DF to MF path. I am pretty sure the joy you feel of seeing the mortgage reduce either by capital or offset etc will be hugely motivating. I know it was for us :T

Yep, we've booked to go to Portugal for just under a month. I'll work from home for part of the time and if Mr T is working (hope so) he can fly out later or back earlier. It will be a delight. You can't beat finishing work and heading down to the beach for a glass of wine and to watch the sun go down.

It was sleeting here today and bitterly cold :T

Looks like we will switch to a different provider for energy and it will save us money. Plus they only have two tariffs to choose from. Clear charges and a delight to deal with. Finally if you are in credit they pay you 3%. I'll be searching the web for company feedback and will check a switching site before making a decision.

We've been with them for the last couple of years, not quite the cheapest available for us (although not much in it) but have been very good and customer service were excellent the one time we needed them. The 3% interest is a nice feature

    Morning, payday :T

    All money shuffles completed.

    97p TT to MOS

A further £11.80 claimed from TCB. Goodness knows when the pet insurance payout will become payable though. It seems to be taking forever. Given that's just over £50 it would be great to have it sooner rather than later - it can start offsetting :)

    Happy days :)

Hi Muser, sorry I missed your post somehow :(

I'm definitely making the OP needed to get under £190k. I'll be mightily relieved when Mr T is working again but we have basically written that off now until Spring time. If he is fortunate before then we will be celebrating :T

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Morning, £4.62 hit my bank from TCB and it's now moved to MOS. No pennies anywhere to TT :(

Fab night out with Mr T last night :)

    It's FRIDAY :):):)

Tarragon chicken this evening - not sure what to serve with it but can figure that out at some point today.

Mr T has one more door to rub down and then that's the upstairs complete. He's starting the preparation downstairs on Monday. We have a lot of doors :(

I'm not sure where this week went - Saturday or Sunday will find me menu planning for December. We're doing a food inventory Saturday.

We haven't been volunteering for a few weeks and need to get back into it. Mr T has said we will go on Saturday.

I was supposed to make the Xmas cake last Thursday but never got round to it. Will definitely get it done this weekend. Was stir up Sunday only for Xmas puddings?

I'd better get preparing, I have a call in 15 minutes

    Have a good day
