  • Security is such an important thing - as is life balance.

You really seem to have hit the nail on the head with your endeavours.

You are right about Mum's windows - Mum and brother are surprised at how warm it is without all those drafts...

  • Afternoon, thanks for your posts. It was quite a surprise, as with all the redundancy stuff happening with Mr T, I hadn't stopped to think really. Hopefully Mr T will find a role and we can get back on track, but now I know we are so close to being 'secure'. I guess it's mad as it's theoretical but we are all vulnerable to redundancy.

Mr T has a lot going on at the moment and is applying for roles - has another interview coming up soon. He reminds me of when he was doing his MBA exams - I'm staying in the other room :)

We have been told to work from home today and Miss T cooked HM burgers, salad and HM tortilla for lunch. Chicken and ham pie for dinner this evening, is almost ready and I'll finish it off late afternoon.

I only have one call this evening and plan on having a very early night :)

CP have sent another survey through - Mr T does these ones. We are close to another £10 due soon :)

Plus I was trying to place an order last night with GAP, going via TCB. Payment systems completely failed and I missed the cashback and 20% offer  Given I felt aggrieved, I rang their help desk - order placed, 20% off everything including sale items as a good will gesture, plus a 15% and 10% voucher mailed through, which will work with their other discount codes by way of apology :D. DD had a pair of trousers on the list as well.

Two happy kids now and DS has stuff arriving by the end of the week that will fit him. He is growing like a weed at the moment :rotfl:

That's all for now, I need to get back on the phone.

    Best wishes

I swear I could hear him growing the other night - like the noise you get in the sheds where they force rhubarb :).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi SF, I can safely say I don't feel inspirational at all :o. I do know that I have a lot of energy and get stuff done :)

My father's mantra was 'don't leave for tomorrow, what can be done today' - and I really do live my life like that.

I am fighting my impatience as I want to clear the mortgage - and impatience isn't a good trait :(

Hope all is going well with you.

  • Without any OPs and excluding offset savings, it will take 8 months to clear the £12k to put us into 'safe territory'.

That's my next challenge, to bring that forward.

    Best wishes
