Good morning, the wind is definitely picking up
Busy morning preparing veg for dinner, Mr T has finished a cake for church, I've deboned the oxtail and it's ready for in the week or freezing. Smells delicious.
The coat cupboard has been sorted and there's a few things to go to charity shops or family. All the gloves have been paired up with each other, scarves and hats located. Ready for winter
I'm aiming for 4 NSDs this week - I'm out with a girlfriend for a quick catch up one night, but apart from that it will be spend free. Mr T has no plans for this week either, so pennies will stay in the bank.
Have a restful day

Good morning,
93p Tilly Tidied to MOS
Mortgage paid and down to £192k
Not that this will help anything yet, but we are £12k away from a combination of an existing endowment and IF I was made redundant, my payoff, being able to clear the mortgage. The endowment isn't due to pay out yet, but it feels like a security blanket. Wouldn't leave us with much cash but I am finding it comforting to know that the roof over our heads would be safe. Just over a week to the 2nd anniversary of having a diary and the progress is excellent. We haven't touched any of Mr Ts redundancy payout and it's good to see it growing. Hopefully we can leave it locked away
Pouring with rain but not as bad as I'd expected.
Have a safe day everyone.

You are making wonderful progress Tilly, it must be great to see the goal becoming more clearly defined on the horizon0

That is good to know, even though it is very unlikely to happen! Knowing that you wouldn't be forced to uproot your family is very comforting. Your endeavours have given you that security - it is not just luck! Well done. During our journey I often did little audits, calculating whether the sale of portable assets would cover the mortgage if we both lost our jobs!
Take care today in the storm,
Squirrel:jPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Excellent news Mrs T.. Well done.
I have my Plan B too now. We could sell, move about 2 miles away and buy outright and be mortgage free with several tens of thousands in 'change'!! Kids could still go to same school etc. it is comforting as no one knows what's around the corner.
In the meantime am battling on with clearing the debtThink it might be January now but still throwing everything at it.
