Hiya, weird day weather wise - sun shine then black clouds, heavy rain, then sun.
I've got the oxtail in the slow cooker with parsnips, carrots, onions and wine - smells yummy.
Dinner is Thai chicken curry with jasmine rice - Mr T whizzed all the spices and lemon grass etc and it smells very good to me. He has also made pavlova and creme brûl!e. Then a cake is on the cards.
On the spends front, we went to Ald! this morning to use the £5 voucher. We bought extra's like bread flour and yeast as we had a trolley full with veg, fruit, stuff and we were struggling to get to £40 :T
Wa!trose was just under £27 but that did include the oxtail.
Menu plan is complete for November - quite a lot of stuff is in the freezer already, in terms of ingredients. I've used SW, Jamie O, the Hairy Bikers and Tom Kerridge books for inspiration.
I think that's all for now, have a good Saturday night

You too, sounds like you should put your feet up. Very well done to you with the award, and also on all the other things you fit into your day,
SquirrelPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!

Hi Brizzle, here we go
http://www.jakheath.com/2012/12/make-your-own-chocolate-place.html
DD and I used Xmas bows on the top and they look really good - they don't take long to do and I bought all chocs on offer.
For the list, I made it up
2 candy canes
1 x 4 finger kit kat
2 x Rocky bars
2 x Penguins
2 x small choc bars, we used Mars or Small Dairy Milk bars
1 x Santa for the front
2 coins
1 x bow
Xmas ribbon
I reckon each one cost round £1.40 ish all in.

Hi Brizzle, TooToo and KP, I was really surprised to win as it wasn't publicised. Just need to wait for additional pennies now :T

I managed to get two boxes of QS at Wa!trose £4, then discount off too - I'm filling some mugs with chocolates for prizes at a Xmas event we are going to. All helps to reduce the cost. We've had to hide them in case the kids kids get the munchies :rotfl:
Happy days

Hi SSS, hope you're feeling better now. I'm sure it's because of being on vacation.
I'm not sure how we fit stuff into the day and I must admit, I'd have loved to have a nana nap (using a Nattyism) but didn't have time today.
