Hi there Tilly
I have been out of the loop for a few days and just caught up. Glad that you are feeling a bit better now. It's horrible that 'down in the dumps' feeling, I think it's 'the January thing' too for what its worth. I lost my Gran, years ago now, and I saw someone who looked just like her walking in our local Nat Trust property a couple of weeks ago and it threw me into reminiscing but it's been long enough that she has passed away now that it's smiles and not tears. Good to cry though, I think, esp for someone special.
Exciting news about the promotion! What is it with companies and making you prove yourself, if they were hiring for the role they would have to pay the right money to get someone and you have thus saved them probably a 20% recruitment fee. I get frustrated with things like that but you sound very quietly confident about it all so sure it will be great! I think this is a corporate money saving technique!
Hope all is well!

If you read this ATT, then kick me if my transatlantic business talk gets confused with my simple 'Tilly at home' style.!
Hi Tilly, i didnt have time to reply to this earlier and wanted to give it my full attention;)
Thanks for the heads up, I think the way forward is to prepare a TOR that we can both get on board with this and it should also prevent scope creep or things outwith your IBC. Iv'e definately car parked your post and moving forward I'll perform intra-day monitoring on all intelligence you share; if I see any performance slippage we can apply a restrospective lens to the situation and perform a peel the onion analysis to ensure robust gap closure plans are drafted which i'd also like BRAG'd to ensure visualisation of traction and the point we breach clear blue water. At that point my counsel would be to prepare a flight path and when the plan has been landed we can progress the PIR or a washup lite if you'd prefer?
Let's have an authentic conversation soon, could I suggest based on a SSC or a SWOT theme? Let me know if you think a Boston Matrix or a Porters would assist should we see any regression.

Hi again
I thought your good news deserved a separate post and shouldn't be sullied by being mixed up in the corporate speak post
So, many many congratulations on your congratulations and I hope the financial rewards swiftly follow
Regards

Hi SJ1, appreciate your support. Life can be a bit of a bugge@ at times. Anyway, head fully back to normal and a few personal calls which I have been putting off have been made today, so that also makes me feel clearer in the head.
I have a figure in mind for my package, so I am going to go all out to win. I am aiming for 3 milestone bonuses and an end of year bonus and salary increase - I can but dream and as my Dad would have said "if you don't ask, you don't get" so let's see what happens this time next year. I wont get anything like that but never mind. I agree, it will have saved them a head hunting fee, plus I have no lead time to pick things up - have had a great day with my plans and spreadsheets though - certainly in my element.

Evening ATT, how sad is this, but most of that sounded quite normal !!!!! What sort of life do we lead and isn't so much of it directed by the US.
I ran my first team meeting today and I was laughing to myself so much at one point, I very nearly lost it. I listened to a guy for about 10 minutes, thought I would go with the 'give them enough rope' scenario and in the end I couldnt bear it. I had to recap so that the rest of us could understand and that's when I had to pull myself together - complete garbage - I was very kind though, as he must be feeling quite vulnerable. However, I did wonder at one point whether I was the only one speaking English and whether we could keep sentences simple, succinct - lets see if that works.
Anyway, onwards and upwards - hope you are feeling on top of the world - I think you said you are away for a few days with work, so hopefully you have relaxed in a lovely bath, glass of wine etc - if not, let me just pretend you have so I can imagine its me.

Goodness GG, couldn't you sleep last night?
Feeling back to normal, so hopefully no more wobbles for a while.
Have a good week.
Sounds like we all work for the same company!

Good morning, plans for today:
Sort out mobile phone solution. Notice given to orange and mac code received.
I have switched a few things around, so need to redo freezer list, and then redo menu plan.
Shred it with DH.
Good work day planned although pretty hectic. However, I am working from home today, so hope to fit a little ironing in, during a call.
Thats it - it will be a NSD if I cant find a phone solution.
I find the inconsistency of offers and customer service extremely frustrating. However, I should be around £20/25 a month better off, currently paying £35 pm. I am seriously considering selling my old iPhone 3GS and just having a basic phone. Since I had an iPad, all the things I used my phone for, are now done on the iPad so it really is not necessary. There we go - I have battled my ego into submission.
