Hope you are feeling a little better :grouphug:. I went out for a walk today to clear my head and feel that it helps me as sometimes I just feel that I have got too much going on in my head to think straight!

On the MFW side of things - that's a lot of savings pots that you have. Are they all individual accounts or one account which you have divided up? I am assuming that they are all being offset against the mortgage?
  • Hi MG, haven't heard of the midwife programme so will have to check that out.

No problem on the gardening tips, I am in my element when planting, harvesting, cooking etc.

I am off to bed at 9pm, so very early for me, but I want to start waking earlier. I have always been an early riser but definitely finding it more of a struggle to get out of bed in the mornings, so here we go.

Have a good week, Tilly x

  • Hi SD, yep it is a lot of savings pots and when the mortgage switches, they will be offset. I like to know that I have funds available up front for stuff, plus my brain works better if I can see the money for stuff, ie vacation funds, credit card etc.

It works well for me and started years ago when we had an IF mortgage. Can't wait to switch.

Have a good week and walking is certainy good therapy for all.

Sounds like a very good idea. Wish I could do the same with our Offset Mortgage, but we can only offset a max of 3 accounts.

    Have a good week x
  • Good morning, after my wobbly day yesterday, I have woken up with most of my vigour returning. I guess though, there may be a few more along the journey, but hopefully minimal.

A busy week coming up but one which will certainly stimulate my brain. I have a number of plans and will be sitting mapping some more stuff out today.

Lodgers' money is in and switched and I set up all the transfers last night to the saving accounts in FD. I know the mortgage doesn't start until early March, but I wanted them up and running in readiness. The interest anywhere is negligible so I am not losing much.

My iPhone contract with orange runs out in February so not long now and I can decide what to do next. Ego has been flattened, that's a definite want not a need, so I am keeping my old phone, and very likely getting a giffgaff sim. If anyone wants to do a referral then let me know, as I would rather someone benefits. I just have to figure out if I need to do anything to my phone before switching but will leave that with DH.

Have a good week everyone and it's almost February so Spring will be here soon.

    Best wishes, Tilly

Wow Tilly... I'd never heard of giff gaff, but just had a quick look on their website and their deals are better than what I'm on at the moment. As I'm not bound by a fixed term any more I may well take one of those up! Thankyou! (ps, if I do I'll happily refer you too, unless anyone else already has one :))

Hope you have a good day today.

    Hi Tilly

Sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterdaym glad you are feeling a bit better today. As you and the others have said I think it's all part of life be that with a mortgage or without ;)

It must have been the weekend for it I think as I was happy and bouncy on Friday, a bit less so on Saturday then had some minor family tension yesterday which although nothing in the scheme of things it left me pretty upset and feeling a bit blue today

I've just said on my own thread that I'm always good at getting up early in the mornings but that seems a struggle at the mo too; had a major indulgence this morning as had set alarm for 5.50 and snoozed it until 7.45

PS, the update to your plan is looking great :j

    Regards

  • Hi LB and Caz, thanks for popping by and yes I'm fine, and yep, Giff Gaff looks really good, although Quidc? or TCB sent a mail through today with Orange and a sim only deal, and that was excellent also. As I'm with Orange at the moment, it should make it easier to switch - but I want the cash back!

    Have a good day

  • Hi ATT, I will stop by your diary in a mo, am just having a well deserved break before my next calls start - woo hoo can't wait!

Anyway, I am sure it is the way we live our lives, we are often running flat out and our battery must need a little recharge occasionally. It's strange that a few of us have felt similar over the same period though - maybe there is more to the stars/flow of the occeans than I realised?

Right, hopping over to your thread to check you out.

    Best wishes, Tilly
