How do you post these? I've been using collect+ as you post from my local shop. I think this is the site I used (bookmarked on own pc, will check) http://www.parcel2go.com/ - you can compare and book all on here.

I normally use parcel2go and cherry pick which provider I want but this time was going to use myhermes for all of them, so booked direct (no price difference) My options for posting are either take to one of their local post-drop off shops - nearest one is about 2 miles away or arrange courier to come and collect - and courier can even collect from a pre-stated 'safe' place like a shed etc - I've gone for courier this time as DH is in whilst I'm out tomorrow and vice-versa. 4 huge parcels weighing between 1kg (1 of them) and 5kg (3 of them) with signature on delivery cost me £23 + pennies - much cheaper than if I'd gone the RMail route :D

Morning, no pennies lying around to tidy away :o

Mr T has been making some superb bread this week and today he's making pizza dough for this evening - HM pizza and salad mmmmmm.

Kids are out this evening and Mr T and I are doing the freezer inventory - boy we know how to live :). I'm setting aside time over the weekend to menu plan and intend using the SW cookery books, plus a Rachel Allen one. We've got a few social events next month so I need to keep tight rein on the food spends to help offset the entertainment spends :)

I'm also going to make a calendar for next year. Each year I buy one - sometimes you can't write in pencil on the surface, often the columns are too small - so to give us what we need and save some cash, I'm using some good quality paper, peppered with pics from this year. May need to rope in Miss T as I'm not exactly craft minded. All you crafty folk, feel free to add tips.

Have a good day, I'm just finishing the HM loaf, toasted with beautiful preserves from an MSE chum's mum :T

Hi Tilly, am following your diary and starting my own TT's. to read your diary (and others) is very enjoyable and inspiring. Moved house two months ago and have an extra large mortgage myself. Am keen to pay off what I can now before rates go up. Not ready yet to start my own diary - would be a long one 17 years 3 months but am here to lend any support :)

Any tips about menu planning? Xx

  • Morning, Mr Ts additional money has arrived so that's now squirrelled away. If the job hunting fairies could be kind we would be laughing, as his previous employer has been very generous.

Freezer, larder inventory complete so ready for next menu plan to be sorted. I've decided to do next months this evening as I can pull the shopping list together for Saturday, at the same time :)
