  • Mr T has been and signed on today. That was an education and a half. I don't think I'd better post his views as I might get bounced off the forum.

Lets hope job offers come pouring in over the next few weeks :)

Haha!! I can sooo appreciate this - DH hates it with a passion. The staff there admit there is nothing they can do for him and that no jobs his level ever come up. They try and make him fill out their forms but his assigned advisor has agreed he just has to provide evidence of job applications - which he does on a spreadsheet. They also fail to see the irony in that they will not pay for him to travel to interviews after the first 3 - and his interviews are mainly in London, where train travel costs anywhere between £60 - £120, depending on time of day/ notice - yet he is only entitled to receive the £71.70/ week from them. Damn good job we have savings lol!

Tell Mr T to grit his teeth and grin and bear it xxx

    Morning,

£6.37 arrived from TCB and TT OPd

The weeks are speeding by - I could do with finding a way to slow them down :)

Looks like Mr T has found a comparable buildings/contents insurance for around £300 less than renewal quote :)

    Best wishes Tilly x

I'm going to have a go at these with Miss T in the new few weeks. Thanks to one of the christms threads :)
Love these, what a fantastic idea!

    Big hugs xx
  • Hi Tilly - just thought I'd stop in and say thank you... I spotted on another thread your advice to do a freezer and larder audit each month and then hit the menu planning. Such a great and simple idea; cutting down on our food costs and our food wastage is a big part of both our MFW plan and my "new job, lower income" plan so this sensible idea will help enormously.

Of course, we've only had a larder for about three months and the freezer only starting looking respectably well stocked about this time last week, but that's another story!
