Morning, sadly more rain, but only 7 weeks until we go away.
99p TT OP this morning.
We may have done a GG yesterday and 'accidentally' bought a car. Mr T had wanted one earlier in the year but it was way too expensive and yesterday he found exactly what he wanted at half the price. Heavy negotiations on the phone and we are off to check it out today and buy if it is as good as it looks. It's from a dealership and endorsed by their used car programme. Fingers crossed.
That does mean we definitely will not be MF by December 2015. The holiday next year was going to add 2.5 months and this will add a few more. I need to sit with a spreadsheet and figure out the impact
There has been quite a bit of discussion on MF stuff at home this weekend. We have sold quite a bit of stuff on eb@y, the car boot, cleared stuff to CSs and I'm being ruthless with my china. I'm going to look at all outgoings again and see what could be cut. Mr T belongs to multiple associations and they all cost quite a bit, so we are starting with those and then checking all line items in the budget.
We have also decided that I can retire in 5 years. That will make me 55 and will mean I won't receive a pension for 11 years. More planning required to see how to bridge the gap.
I'm off to make packed lunches
Best wishes Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Exciting times ahead Tilly!
What would you do once retired, would you look for a lifestyle business or let property or just relax in the sun??

Ahem, we will need to put together a proper plan to teach Tilly to relax. The finances will be a doddle compared to that :rotfl:
Great news Tilly :T
Shame about the carA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I think I'll collapse in the sun for a few weeks and read, garden and reeeeeeeeeeelax. It's still years to go, but on the horizon.
I have a few strings to my bow and will enjoy having the time to explore them more.
Who knows where the journey will take us but I have realised that the MF journey has opened my eyes to a whole new world of enjoyment - simple pleasures, well cooked meals with loads of hme grown veg and if I can persuade Mr T maybe even chickens :rotfl:
Off out to meet a girlfriend for drinks

I agree, I love cooking and thinking up meals now, next to save money doing it. I still need to progress to HM grown veg. My friend keeps chickens, it is relatively easy and you get an endless supply of eggs. She is already used to 3 and wants to get 3 more.
Anyway, stop saying your MF date is years away, yours is a lot closer than mine and it makes me feel I have no hope if you say that. Reach your goal and by then I should be halfway to mine :jMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
