Fab news on the £500- nice OP!

Good luck with the ebay- I think the weather is to be fairly grim at the weekend so maybe people will be at home on computers killing time and you will get some last minute bidding wars!

Morning, it's difficult to believe it is Friday already, time is flying.

I watch my kids and see how they tackle life and problems and I've realised that our spendy day days were not too bad. I've struggled with this guilt for the year I lurked, before starting my diary. We did some amazing things, have brilliant memories, not as much DS as he is younger, but all the photos bring them back. So whilst our life is very different now to eighteen months ago, I'm pleased the kids are learning these skills.

DD had a melt down last night as she has her least favourite AS level exam today. Cue 15 minutes of relaxation techniques before Mr T and I ran out the door. It was fab to see the difference it made and she went off and did a couple more test papers. I find this amazing as she averages 98/99% in all math exams  If I got over 60% I was pleased :rotfl: Maybe that's another reason she's better with money than I am :o So to all those with kids doing exams at the moment, good luck :)

No new bidders - come on guys I'm trying to clear a mahoosive mortgage here :o

Smoked salmon quiche and salad for dinner. I'm off out early on, so we'll be eating later and DD is making the quiche :). The salad leaves are growing like mad now, will be putting a couple more rows in this weekend.

Have a good day, Tilly x

Have a great weekend Mrs T..just been out to the garden to find the snails/slugs have eaten some tomato plants!!!! Shocking. I think it's time to get some 'organic' true, but slug pellets. They have not gone for tomatoes before, just cucumber and salad..:-(

Nice to see some sun again, the panels need it!!

    Morning Tilly,

When you're listing on eB@y, (listing as in putting items on, not leaning to one side:rotfl:) do you use a Listing program to upload them to eBay all in one go?

I'm interested in selling on eBay again but don't have the time to sit and list all the items. Anything that speeds it up would be great.

Do you always wait for free listing days?

Hi Thistle, as our items are all 'left over home stuff' rather than multiples of the same product, we list everything manually agggghhhh.

Ammonite is the e@y Queen IMO, but is not posting as much at the moment due to becoming a Mum for the first time. I'm sure she will be back, or if you find her thread and ask, she could probably help you with advice etc.

We've been asked some barking questions from prospective bidders - as soon as my treasures are gone, I can let eb@y go to sleep for a while. I love the buzz though when people start upping their bids :T

  • Lula and Natty, I have a confession :o:o:o

I may have gone shopping and spent my annual clothes budget in one go :o:o:o

I've been thinking for a while that I needed to have a refresh, I've emptied the wardrobe, sorted, cleared but many of my basic items I have had for years. By years I probably mean 10-15 years :rotfl:

I always bought classic stuff for work, but as working practices changed, I no longer need suits etc. I got rid of quite a few at the beginning of this journey but I'm now clearing the rest out, roll on next FLW.

So now I have a ready made capsule wardrobe, yep, purchased in one go, with a mahoosive discount (thanks DD).

I'm out for dinner with friends tonight and who knows which outfit I'll be wearing. I've decided to save up and do this again in the winter. I'm not that fussed about having clothes that people recognise as this years, as I really don't give a hoot, but I've realised that I'm changing. I want less stuff, but for everything to earn its keep.

Shoes will be next - clearing those out too. I have a pair of shoes i LOVE, but have never had anything to wear them with - mental. I'm looking for a skirt or trousers in a camel colour now to wear with said shoes. I feel quite liberated if not broke, and it will impact my OP after payday but as everyone says, this journey is about living as well.

    I'm slinking off now

Good for you Tilly, a capsule wardrobe sounds like it will be so much easier than fishing around everyday trying to decide what to wear.:D

  • I think it was Museum Worker (thank you) who first started talking about it and I've fiddled, moved, but not really tackled everything and it feels good to have it done. A bit like when we did the loft and the study :)
