Ooh Froggy, if you were round the corner I'd be baking you cakes every week.

Mr T says hi and he'll catch you when you're back from your travels.

    Best wishes Tilly x

If you were baking so often, I would be around on a daily basis :rotfl: Not sure Mr T would appreciate though :o

I'll let you know when I am back and we can arrange something..

Enjoy the cake :D. Hope financials didn't involve any spending ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks Fothers, just hoping the two we like don't change their minds. As one only wants a few weeks, it means the best of both worlds, as two permanently doing Monday-Friday is too much :)

  • Morning, 32p TT OP, and boy it's getting tight before payday :o. The time seemed to whizz round to 2 weeks to payday but the last few days are going so slowly

I'm having an effort to clear out all bread from the freezer. Given how full it was the bread was taking up way too much space. It does mean the kids lunches have an eclectic mix of rolls, flat breads, ciabatta etc but at least it's being eaten :)

Out with friends this evening but a cheap night thankfully, then a long walk tomorrow if the weather is ok, visiting friends on Saturday night and jobs at mums on Sunday. Don't the days go so quickly. We will be back round to work before we know it. I'm looking forward to the next BH though. Doing the car boot sale on the Sunday should be fun and I've told Mr T I'll make bacon sandwiches and a flask of coffee to take with us. Simple pleasures :)

I'm off to do the ironing now, so have a good day.

and are though sandwiches really bacon?;)

That would be taking the idea of cutting back on the grocery budget a bit far!

    I promise it's bacon :)

Changing the subject slightly, I've found a farm locally which sells meat in bulk :). Will not be my bargainous goodies but I'm tempted to have a go when the freezer is empty.

I've done half an hour or ironing and need to go back and do more - it'll be Froggy I know.

I am trying to find one locally to us as the one I ordered my steaks etc from (see my thread) is 200 miles away. I would love to be able to order veg boxes etc too. I know it is not cost effective but I am sure they would last longer than some of the supermarket rubbish. When I manage to organise my life I am going to try and grow some things myself.
