Hope you have a good weekend Tilly!!
I think regarding going off to Uni:
1) a toastie maker (I would guess DD is probably more competent at cooking than most but this can save £££ buying food after a night out!)
2) Huuuuuge tea/coffee mug (good to be able to procrastinate while making another cuppa before getting down to that essay)
3) Nice meal out every so often when the parentals visit (plus food/alcohol shopping on the way home)
Ummmm... that's most of what I can think of, I can remember budgeting and saving the summer before uni for everything I would need (bedding, plates, mugs etc.. ) and calculated £130 (this was hmmmm well over 10 years ago now!) and managed to come back with everything PLUS a new top, and change! I must've been MSE even then! :rotfl:0 -
Why oh why am I eb@ying - oh yes, to get some extra pennies to OP :eek:
Even having written everything down before, it seems to take ages. However, absolutely everything is now ready to go - if it doesn't sell it will be car booted and if I doesn't go then, a couple of charity shops nearby will be benefitting.
I can move in the garage now and after the car boot, I could use it for exercising again :T
Hi Thistle, I really did feel miserable last week and it was the weather, I'm certain. Oh to wake up to blue sky instead of blinking grey
TYO, thanks for the advice, I'm beginning to feel relieved that we have so much stuff, I can use DD to declutter when she leaves home. I swear I could open a bedding shop :rotfl:
MCI, I've popped out and bought some marigolds to plant with the tomatoes. There's also a little bit of yellow stuff in the sky - I won't say anymore, it may disappear
Ixia, thanks for the cashback site suggestion, will definitely be checking that out :j
Right, I'm off to do battle in the town - I have to return something which I know is going to turn into a nightmare. Mr T is already prepared for an argument in the shop and I had this type of confrontation
I'm making a massive salad to have for a late lunch - loads of beautiful leaves, toasted pine nuts, plum tomatoes and asparagus with shavings of Parmesan - Mr T was going to make bread this morning but the land of eb@y got in the way.

I actually had an unpaid item case opened *against me* last week. Apparently the site went crazy and placed a duplicate order for a pair of shoe laces (£2.69). Who the heck goes rogue over a pair of shoe laces when they have 800+ positive feedback? :rotfl:
Sorted now, but for a short while I was public enemy number 1.0 -

DS investigated whether he could put a bag of washing on the train, I could pick it up, wash it and send it back on the train the next day :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Afternoon, 3 treasures are selling now, with 34 creating interest but no sales yet. We have stuck with the themed sales and this times it's technology. How much carp did we buy in our pre LBM days :eek::eek:
I tried another book selling site today for Patricia Cornwell hardbacks - of no interest whatsoever. I truly don't think I'll buy any books again, apart from cookery ones.
May have a short term lodger - time will tell - sounds like a good guy but I think we are a little far out for his needs. He's interested though
I'm still doing my best to take some time out and relax - I am pretty poor at giving myself time. However early days and I am sticking to it. I'm using the time to think of my future and imagine a scenario of no mortgage and what I really want to do with my time. Basically a blank canvas in terms of where ie country and what and letting my sub conscious have a play about. Who knows where this will end up but Mr T and I have spoken in the past about using our joint skills.
Hope everyone is sheltering from the rain - I could have sworn it was April showers, not May ones :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
