Hope you are feeling better today Tilly. I think the weather plays havoc with our mood. If the moon can affect it am sure the sun (or lack of it) can too.

  • Hi, I can safely say I've been a grumpy old moo. I'm feeling far more normal now and happy the sun is out today.

I worked from home again today but in the office next week :)

I've been out a couple of times to have coffee with friends and the HB goodies went down well.

We're out for dinner this evening but only have a small amount left in the entertainment pot so I'm using up all loose coins towards it as well. May still have a gap but not to worry, we have to live this journey as well :T

77p TT OP and 99p TT OP achieved today. Still on the lodger hunt but it's proving difficult. It does mean that I have had to learn to enjoy silence more so maybe we couldn't find a lodger, as I needed to learn something.

Busy weekend due our family birthday so out Friday, Saturday evenings and making afternoon tea on Sunday - more cakes required.

Have a fab evening, I hope you have sun and let's hope gardening is on the cards for tomorrow :)

  • Hope you have a lovely weekend. Everyone feels miserable now and then. Cyber good wishes to you. X
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Hope you feel better soon Tilly :)
  • I can give free advice about SIN :D But then you have already been there. Why not try Kota Kinabalu - tropical jungle and beaches, you can go snorkelling or diving, fascinating marine park.

I'll definitely be asking you both for advice. We're off to a travel agent today to ask some questions. I checked out the link US and it looks fab. I wasn't so sure about the locations as I fancied India, but I think that trip can be done without the family once the M is gone. May even get to go with a girlfriend and explore :T

    Best wishes Tilly x

Poor souls won't know what's hit them - they'll be expecting to sell you a nice off the shelf package :rotfl:.

  • Morning, I am feeling back to normal :). I really didn't know that the sun would make me feel like this, or rather the lack of it :o.

    Jobs for today:

Get all the stuff in the garage on eb@y - not stopping until it is all done
Pop some radish seeds in - I have a recipe for radishes I want to use in early summer, so planning ahead :)
Taking a £ donation into the food bank - well the church who collects on their behalf but it will be with the FB on Monday :)
Volunteering tomorrow for two hours - haven't been for a while so need to get stuck in :o
Bake a Victoria sponge for afternoon tea tomorrow plus a lemon cake. I have bargainous lemons to use up :)

Then I'm doing nothing but sitting in the conservatory with my feet up and reading a Patricia Cornwell book. I've read a !!!!!! Francis one this week and realised how little time I give myself, so I'm making a concerted effort to stop more :)

Mr T is pretty busy with work and I want to make sure he takes more time out - not easy but he hasn't cooked as much as normal which is never a good sign. Cooking is one of the ways he relaxes.

Our gorgeous DD is leaving home next year and I'm thinking about things she may need. I'll no doubt be asking advice from any of you who have had children set off to Uni - I want to make sure she can start this new chapter of her life in a positive way. I'm looking forward to watching her fly (also a bit sad but I'm keeping that to myself).

    Have an amazing Saturday :T:T

    Money for food.

    Money for alcohol.

Occasional parental visits which include lunch and shopping for food/alcohol.

    In short, money :money:.
