    Hi Tilly!

    Wow you are doing brilliantly!

I think we do sometimes need to remember that we are doing well, and give ourselves a pat on the back from time to time.
    Well done:T

  • Hi TallGirl and Hell1, it's quite staggering the progress we are making. However, apart from our holiday, and the very occasional treat, we really are on a mission - April 2016 is getting closer and still a long way to go.

I love the way our kids are learning as well. DD brought her ISA and saving account details to show me the other day, and the delight she had in talking me through her plan was fab. She's a young lady, who is bright and intelligent, but also becoming financially savvy. I need to double check how old you have to be for TCB and Nectar, as she may be old enough. If so we will need to set up an online mail address, just for this top of thing.

Thanks for stopping by, Tilly x x

    50% :j:j:j. Another milestone ticked off :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Hiya GG, well in £3k's time it will be 50% - that will be achieved in November and we're on the way to the next target. Fantastic :T

Given the total lack of progress from 2004 until we moved to FD, I could literally :j for joy

  • Hi Tilly, your thread is moving at break-neck speed! You have done brilliantly during the past year. Now that you are in sight of the landmark 50% I am sure sure you will be rid of your mortgage in no time. Good luck!

Have read about your eggy bread vs French toast - it has always been French toast at our home :) And ATT, your veggie pasta sounds delicious - might try that when we have our fridge-clearing days.

  • Hi US, I love having you posh 'French Toast' people dropping in :T

I am feeling a little overexcited about next month when we smash £250k :j. It means so much and 5 November is the anniversary of having a diary and we would not have achieved so much without :money: and all the generous people, who give advice and guidance, willingly, to help other people. Amazing :):)

Tilly, there is nothing posh about it. It is just another way of making our children think that they are having posh breakfast when they were quite young and got tired of boiled egg and soldiers. Now is there a posh name for boiled egg and soldiers

I haven't had a boiled egg for ages - if I hadn't eaten too much today I would get into the kitchen - right nominations required for a new name for an old faithful?

We quite often will have a pancake evening - cheap and cheerful but loved by us all :)

Just wanted to pop in and say 'congratulations' on your progress, you are really getting that mortgage balance down :T.
  • Morning, lodgers money OPd. Awaiting £25 from selling something to a friend. I am going to have to chase this which I don't like doing.

Dinner for this evening is leftovers from the weekend, so nothing to do this evening :T

We are going for a dog walk in half an hour so need to get a move on.

Have a fab week and roll on half term.

    Best wishes Tilly x
