Morning GG, :xmastree: what a beautiful bracelet, now being a long standing MSEr, I would have expected a 'discount for bulk' discussion. I think I may be buying that for DD :T
Just checked again, they have 342 deals:)
How's the house tarting up going?

Morning ShalaMoo, it's tricky when you draw a blank. I know that feeling of old. As the kids grow up I am having a similar challenge. Not sure if this helps but I made a vow to only buy something which is either beautiful or useful - seems to work for men and women.
DH and I are buying a joint present this year and a couple of bits to open on the day. That's going to be a shock.
Good luck with your planning Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Morning TYO, I really enjoyed sorting mine out the other day - found a couple of things I had forgotten about as well
I think we may bake the Christmas cakes this weekend and get in the mood - one thing about spending less, is I'm not in the shops as much so I've missed the Christmas stuff coming in really. Normally I am moaning that the summer holidays are only just over and the shops are full of Xmas chocs etc.

I forgot to add over the weekend that Mr T and went shopping to use up some SSM vouchers which were expiring end September. What a pickle that was. We only went to do a coupon shop as we had completd grocery shopping in L!dl earlier. I had a list, only bought the right items and the check out lady went through every item on the receipt to check we had purchased said items. I did explain that I had only bought the right items, but I guess everyone says that. It was another of those 'it's gone on long enough' moments, where it's tempting to thnk b£gger it, I won't bother.
We stuck to our guns though and ended up with £77 of stuff for £44 - not as good as the MrA glitch but not bad for us.

It's always worth persevering the embarrassment/glares from other shoppers/eye rolling from checkout assistants/extra time to use any voucher. Good for you for standing your ground and more fool those who thought £33 off wasn't worth their inconvenience!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.1

Mi MRN and J1982 - it's only the second time I have experienced such close scrutiny - not sure that counts as touting, just being cautious I guess. It does get a little uncomfortable under the collar though. Goes to show how Mr T has changed though as he would never have done that years ago.
I now have a plastic bag in my handbag and collect all the vouchers as I go along - for years I have collected them and then thrown them away when they were out of date - no more. I also give vouchers to friends if it's a product I won't use. I am making a hamper for mom for Xmas, most of which will have come from bargain shopping. I do a hamper every year along with her main present and it's great to know she dips into for goodies, which she would never buy herself.
I also bought a lovely piece of beef on the bone - £18 and I paid £6 ! That's in the freezer for later.
I've claimed another £10 S&S voucher today so the Xmas amaz@n pot is growing.
Sun is disappearing
Goodness, there's a whole loads of I's in the above - need my kids to help out with the hamper as well

In my local store, I am a marked person - always have all the vouchers scrutinised thoroughly (aka trouted ) It is even worse at @sd@ and S@ins. They check each and every coupon, mark them as used with the correct amount and date circled. All for saving a few pence :eek:Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

Hi US, I don't mind the check out following a process but they needn't make it so tortuous. Next time I am not going to bag my shopping but leave it on the belt thing so that they can easily verify - then I will carefully pack my shopping whilst they get irritated that I still haven't whipped out a card to pay with
:)
