Last night was the first time I started feeling a wee bit cooler. I must say I've been much warmer since I've been pregnant which was horrible in the summer and sticky weather but I'm hoping it will reduce our gas bills a bit now as I've usually got the heating on by now. Very MSE :money: :rotfl:
  • Lol Tilly, I've just replied to the marrow fest on MRN's thread and popped across here and the first post on this thread is about marrows :rotfl:

Sorry, I'm a bit marrow mad at the moment!

The dashboard was showing a chilly 6 oC this morning as I drove to work. It still feels warm enough inside though - we also have the bedroom windows cracked. I'll close them before we use energy on heating.

Glad we cheered you up after your bad day Tilly!

Crikey, you lot don't half blether, don't you :rotfl:.

Another leccy blanket switcher-oner here :o. In my defence, the night before we'd had just a sheet, the fan on all night and were still roasting so it was a bit of a shock to the system .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Hi GG, I am guessing you are back in cooler climes?

Can't let this work stuff get in the way of a marrow discussion :rotfl:

Another NSD in the bag. It's surprises me how they add up. I even popped out to the GP and avoided their 'buy a book for 25p" stand, which I rarely manage :T

Tomorrow evening we are having a mad splurge and having a takeaway - interestingly we used to have two a week and now very rarely, so it will be a real treat.

Autumn quilt is going on this evening as it is getting a little chilly.

No money updates but lunches are made ready for tomorrow .

Have a good evening and only two days to go until the weekend - can't wait.

I think I need two lodgers again as I miss the twice weekly sweep of income into mortgage :(. As they both paid on different days, I had twice the joy, now it's just one a week :).

Cash ready for takeaway. I realised last night that as I have already saved the amount needed for a family meal later in the year, it was worth checking piggy. £34.53 in his tum which should just cover the Chinese. Excellent news, so I guess today can turn into a NSD of sorts, as it's not coming out of the bank? Regardless we have a great meal and no need to dip into the bank or CC which is good news.

Dogs walked and a few late raspberries picked. I have put them in a bowl for DD at breakfast :). She loves them but sadly there were only 5 so the bowl looks rather on the empty side.

I fancy making a blackberry and apple pie this weekend, so will take the dogs walking elsewhere so we can pick fruit.

Looks like sloe crops will be good this year as they seem to be growing well.

No other updates, it is the slump after payday.

    Thursday so almost the weekend.

    Tilly x

Edit to add: 41p OP made to tidy account. Mad I know but it counts

After reading your diary, I've stated to make the (rather crazy/sad) account tidying OP's too!
