I know exactly how you feel.... In some ways 5 years seems like no time at all but when I think about just throwing most of our disposable income at the mortgage I sometimes get a pang of ouchness!!
  • Oooohhhhhhh, I didn't notice. No idea what it means but I guess I must be waffling on too much. Woo hoo ........

  • Hi all, well worth the call to BT as they don't give out reimbursements they will credit our next bill. Not happy with that but it has prompted me to double check our BT contract. I am about to call and request a credit sooner. Who knows but worth a go.

I agree LB, 5 years really is not long and we have a lot to achieve in that time. 3 years from now our DD will be off to uni to study medicine, if she gets a place, so I think DH and I will require deep pockets.

Just remembered to get the duck legs out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow evening. DH is trying the econom. gast. chinese duck dish so quite looking forward to that.

    That's all few now.

    Hi Tilly

I didn't know you can pre-pay BT line rental. I pay it quarterly when my bill arrives. How do you go about doing this? Do you just phone them up to do this?
  • Hiya SD, it was on the latest MsE news mail. We did it on line and it took seconds, don't forget to use your cashback card though xxxx

You can click through from the MSE mail directly to the right screen for doing it.

    Good luck. Tilly

Thanks Tilly :). I will of course use my Cashback Credit Card - think they will regret issuing one to me as my 'cashback' is increasing nicely.
  • Morning all, cats have been jabbed today, so that's it for another year but £99  When I came home I quickly ordered next years flea/worm treatment for dog and cats, using TCB and cash back card. :T

Weather glorious here today and the madness of yesterday has disappeared. We drove to fetch my car after being serviced and I was quite worried, I can't recall wind and rain like that for quite a while. The garage tried to charge us 1% extra for paying by CC but DH asked whether they should have told us that when booking the car in, and they were supposed to. So we didn't pay the extra, and used our cashback card :j:j

It's turning into quite a game in the Tilly household - as we have both decided that the best place for our money, is with us.

Time for a quick cuppa and then back to work.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Just a quick thought, in case anyone thinks we are turning into deep pocket, short arms etc, I promise we aren't. Just being very sensible. I also cut a voucher out of the local paper for a Xmas show on Sunday, so that we all get to go for £0 - marvellous.

I did sit and have 2 G&Ts last night, whilst DH had a couple of beers so I promise we are still enjoying life.

Snap, I sound like a tight wad too but I promise I'm not... just thinking twice and doing things in an economic way!
