Hi Ammonite, S&S is shop and scan. You scan your weekly shopping and upload the data along with a copy of your receipt. 1100 points for data, 500 for receipt, at 10000 points you can claim a variety of items. I only ever take amazon vouchers as I am saving for Xmas. Quick and painless plus I have had a number of surveys with good payouts.

Hi Radish, I won't be taking too much on, promise. I need to understand whether they are willing to embrace some real change - it would help them on a number of levels. I will wait and see as there is no rush.
Fuel is mad isn't it. When it jumped from 0.83 to 0.88 I thought that was a lot but now, madness. We have really changed our driving/journey habits though, so we have learnt to be more sensible as well :T
Off to make some lunch now - have a good day, Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Evening, DS is busy in the kitchen cooking dinner - we are having smoked salmon (off cuts), pasta, creme fraiche sauce with mange tout, spring onions and parsley - clever chap and I am one proud Mom :T
Another NSD although I still haven't taken the cash from the bank which I do need to do.
We will be having a very wet dog walk this evening  perhaps we will have a glorious October
I feel as though we are in a good place now - having had a diary since November 2011, much time has been spent on cleaning up our financials, and now it really is just executing a plan. I do not mean to infer it is easy, but it is achievable - good that Mr Tilly and the kids are on board. I do get frustrated that the numbers don't come down quickly enough but I do have to recognise that there's a steep journey ahead and I tend to forget
Off to sit quietly with Mr Tilly and have a glass of wine before enjoying DS cuisine - at least I won't have any future girlfriends saying he can't cook.

I like the soundof shop and scan! How do you get an invitation?0

Hi Ammonite, I will have to check, or maybe someone else knows about S&S. I seem to remember receiving an invite, but I truly cannot remember. I can highly recommend them though and the extra surveys you get from them are really worth doing.

Morning, surprisingly I have woken to yet more rain  The dog walk last night was conducted in the rain and so will the walk this morning. Definitely getting quite fed up of the climate.
Busy day planned at work but we are all in the same boat there.
I am just listening to the farming programme on radio 4 and they are discussing the reduction in milk prices to the producer. The supermarkets cause so much destruction in my opinion.
I may have posted before but I also find it sad that the supermarkets sell few English apples, given that years ago we were market leaders. I would willingly pay more for apples, knowing that they are from our shores, and even better are grown locally. I will get off my soap box :T
Will be another NSD so the small amount of money is hanging on in there :T.
Just heard the beginning of the 6am news and my other soap box is the Barclays issue and whether the BofE had been aware, or even worse, may have been an influencer. I feel quite disillusioned with so many key leaders. Whilst their behaviour is driven by their financial reward packages, i do feel that (on occasion) poor decisions are made. Right, must step off that soap box too, and get back to MFW intentions.
Dinner this evening will be sausages (BBQd ) having been marinated in chilli and honey, with rapeseed oil to help it all cling, served with couscous stuffed peppers (a few chilli flakes, crushed garlic, diced tomatoes, mint), and the ubiquitous salad. I also have some lemons to use up so will be making a lemon sorbet tonight. The total cost for dinner works out at about 80p per person, due to bargainous sausages from the freezer, free veg from garden and bargainous lemons.
I have run out of home cooked ham now. Last lot removed from the freezer yesterday. I tend to do two hams, cooked in different ways/flavours and then slice thinly and freeze in portions. This means far better quality ham for sandwiches/lunch boxes, and some chunks left for pasta or pies etc. I will need to check whether I can find any bargains joints to cook.
Wish me luck in the rain, as we are off for a dog walk in 15 minutes.

Thanks Tilly I would love an invite if I could get one
It sounds great. I agree with you about supermarkets
Hope you didn't get too wet on the walk!
I also get frustrated by my numbers since I'm not technically overpaying just saving and hoping one day I can use the money as an overpayment.
I can't wait to get a new mortgage - 18 months to go though
by that time I'm sure interest rates will have shot up, we have been on a high rate for the last 3.5 years sadly
We will get there Til !0 -
Hi, well it was supposed to be a NSD, however, I wanted to use the L'Oreal vouchers for deodorants and face wipes - total saving of £9.50 :T. In fact I was paid to take th deodorants away :T:T:T
I also used the Tropicana voucher which was put in Mr Tily's father's day card as a joke.
Finally the Warburton's voucher was used so 50p off a loaf reduced to 30p :T, 20p put towards the juice.
Very productive 15 minutes I thought.
Pay day in just over two weeks, can't wait as that will bring debt to the world down to £263k

Morning, after last night's voucher shopping (extraordinaire), well for me it was, but I have a lot to learn, I have decided to be more sensible about vouchers. In our financial overhaul it is the main area where I have not got to grips with it consistently.
I need to spend a little more time reading the coupon thread and see if I can get my brain round it.
We joined Costco some months ago and I have found that helpful for stocks, when products are on offer.
Weighed myself this morning and I have put on 8lbs over the last two months. I can't afford 1lb per week being added, so need to reduce. I do think the weather has affected my walking/running as it has been miserable, plus whilst I have been ill, I have been far less active. That can't continue as I am getting back up to 100% health. So what shall I do about this? Stop drinking alcohol again, although I not drink a lot, I think it helps. Stop any snacking and substitute with fresh fruit. Let's see how that goes for a couple of weeks.
It is at least dry this morning, by dry may I add, it stopped raining 10 minutes ago - I guess that still counts :T
Have a good Thursday and end of the week tomorrow
