Mr Tilly is not used to me being this quiet or lethargic - he keeps moaning he doesn't have a list of jobs to do :)

Happy to help out with a list Tilly if he's bored. Starting with cleaning paint off the main living room light. Only been there about 7 months :o.

    Hope you're recovering now.

    GG :)

  • Mr Tilly would say paint removal is all in the preparation which is why it's taking so long :):)

Feeling much better thanks - soon be Friday :j

Well done on B2L starting with a 6

Ah, that's right. I'm preparing to think about doing the preparation.

Actually, all it needs is washed in hot water :o.

Freezer emptied, sorted, documented and all back in again
    Larder and fridges all done
Ironing - about 20 minutes left and I will listen to the radio this evening and finish it off
Airing cupboard emptied and contents put away
    Kitchen cleaned

Slightly off plan as I added things to my list :(

I will do the floors, utility cupboard in the morning

No money spent but also no money taken from bank which I do need to do.

    Having a rest now :T

  • Glad you are resting too - get better first before overdoing with lists! ;)

Excited to hear xmas countdown! :rotfl:

well done on the freezer inventory - thats my current moneysaving plan too! ;)
  • Evening, ironing now completed, but no menu plans. Bearing in mind how much I love cooking, i really have no energy to plan the menu, which is absolutely unheard of. I will have to give myself a firm talking to in the morning and get my cookery books out.

I think we may take the dogs for a short walk as it is such a glorious evening. Pretty sure they will be quite happy about that :)

3 more FD saver payments to make and then I can OP the total. I cannot believe how quickly that time has passed.

Have a good rest of the week, Tilly

  • Afternoon, menu plan not touched - not in the mood to think about cooking. However, Mr Tilly has a mystery dining event tonight, so I don't need to worry. I have made a Chinese salmon, mange tout (thinly sliced), noodles for kids. Smells great so that may help me become a bit more interested. This bug has really sapped my energy and I am having to learn a lot about being quiet, which doesn't sit well with me.

A few weeks ago I had a mountain of potatoes to use up, this week it seems to be onions, so whether I have an appetite or not, I need to look up appropriate recipes. I fancy making a tart tatin type thing with balsamic vinegar - I have loads of salad and some beetroot in the garden so a colourful salad can be concocted to serve with it. :)

Small OP made as the TCB Amaz@n voucher was ready - all helps.

No lodgers for the next two weeks due to holidays and I will really miss having more people here. However, it does mean I have cash and no extra washing :):)

No ironing left to do :T

Have a good evening and I hope no one is suffering from the flash floods.

Keep bringing those mangetout ideas on! I have another bucket of them to pick tonight
  • Morning, lodgers food money has arrived so that has been OPd. Plus a little tidying up to the bank account led to £1.47 OP - no good having an untidy account :T

I have a couple of things to eb@y so need to check when the next free listing day is, plus we are finally getting round to planning the car boot sale. DH is gong to see if the clothes rack is still in the loft as we will take that with us - will be three weeks time, so still opportunities to find more treasures.

Weather is very weird today, dark clouds, look rain laden but no rain yet, but the wind has dropped slightly.

Veg are going mad in the garden. I am preparing a big platter of salad this evening (Dawn: mange tout microwaved for 1 min, then cooled quickly, with sesame oil drizzled ), grated beetroot with a little grated ginger. I have some potatoes to pull so will check them out and steam perhaps. Likely to use some chicken up with this.

That's it for now, I am gradually getting back to normal, so am off to menu plan :T

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • Dreaded paperwork for close relative completed. Given I have not felt great I have prevaricated, never a good sign, and two tasks had slipped through the net. They are both complete and posted off now :j

I am going to open two new savings accounts for the kids next, and doing them in town so they get to take their money in and save as well. They do have child ISAs in place as well. All helps to get them on the right path - they will learn from my mistakes hopefully

Have a good afternoon, Tilly x
