Hi GG, glad you waved your inflatable torch - I had to read it twice to check I hadn't misread
. We have to wait another week yet, but will be popping along to cheer.
It is pouring still - definitely pants, huge apple catchers

Given the weather, thought I had better check whether I had inadvertently fallen asleep and Dr Who time travelled to autumn - but no, there are still 176 sleeps to Christmas

*sneaks head round door* hello Tilly and ladies :hello: I hope you are all fine and dandy?
Goodness, where does the time go to. I've had a lovely weekend with a last minute visit from much loved family. Sadly I've only had 3 hours sleep (no, not because I was out enjoying myself) so currently feeling a bit sleepy and I'm out tonight too
I had a bit of unwanted excitement last week as found myself in the car when the big storm started. What a terrifying experience, particulalry the speed at which it all happened. To cut a long story short I had to leave the car, take refuge and then do a bit of a walk. Really not good but compared to the tales of other family and friends including 6.5 hours to do 4 mile drive and flood damage to homes I think I got off quite lightly
Nothing much to report on the MSE front and I'm in that awful holding stage where there is not a great deal to be done until payday
Regards

Evening ATT, fortunately although it rained here, we missed the dreadful storms. I do feel for you - I hate driving when even having the wipers on warp speed doesn't clear the screen.
I know exactly what you mean about the lull period. I feel very fortunate to have the lodgers money to OP as it means I can have a weekly event. Along with the shifting odd £/p, and any money not spent from my food jar, or £co, to TCB - anything to add to the OP activities
Any, off now as I have just got back home from discussing another possible volunteering opportunity. Not sure whether I am a glutton for punishment, completely mad, or really do think I can add some value - I am hoping it is the latter

Morning, more rain - did we really have a drought just a few weeks ago?
Volunteering discussions were interesting but I have the feeling there is reluctance to consider new methods of working. Given they are suffering due to lack of business process application, it would both reduce their cost, improve their available cash and reduce effort, again releasing people to do more productive things. I will have to think of how this can be achieved, otherwise I would only be enabling them to stay as is, which won't help them long term. More thinking time needed.
Yesterday was a NSD, with the same today. Veggies growing like wild fire. DS is cooking dinner this evening :T.
I need to update my spreadsheets and have a lovely peaceful weekend coming up, so will tackle them then.
That's it for now. Best wishes Tilly x2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Have just redeemed another £10 S&S voucher, due to an added survey sent last week. They really are excellent to deal ŵth. Xmas Am@zon fund growing.
Changing topic, good to see the fuel prices coming down - although not enough nor quickly enough, but it helps.
Just going to finish a little ironing and then be a good Mom and make DSs lunch for school. The kids normally make their own, but it will be a little surprise for him. Now can I embarrass him and put a little note in  I don't think so.......

Hi Tils, haven't caught up in a while! What is the s&s voucher?
I agree about fuel, I couldn't believe the words "that's quite cheap" came out of my mouth the other day when my car took £50 to fill - usually nearer £60. Hopefully they keep falling!1
