Morning, well the rain has arrived  Off volunteering this morning so I guess we will get wet.
Minimal shopping last night, cucumber, toms, milk etc. No reason to go to the shops again and S&S sent off last night. We are really considering buying an outside table tennis table, as I won £25 SSM love to shop vouchers, plus I have £50 from switching mobile phone providers, and the item is half price, it will cost £75 not £300. Buying now would mean its available for the kids in the summer which seems sensible. The money would have to come out of the entertainment pot, so no real spends.
Ca insurance sorted yesterday and final price came in £300 less than quote from current supplier. No TCB though, as we ended up with a better price. Every penny certainly helps. Breakdown cover to be arranged today. Annual holiday insurance to be priced up vs insurance for a holiday later in the year. We normally take out an annual one as we used to go away far more, however, what with GCSEs and kids activities, along it's cutting spending 2012 is not much of a holiday year. I need to mull over what makes most sense £ wise.
Finally household insurance due, so that needs looking into. I will try TCB - only driver is to reduce the cost, so a few calls will be made also.
Will be a busy MSE day but should finish with all insurances set up, paid for by cash back CC (we were charged a small fee yesterday for using the card, but the cashback is worth more than the fee), and I can OP the cashback in February -yep, planning ahead again :T
On the jobs front, I have a little ironing and baking to do.
Off to wrap up now and get outside.

Hi Tilly,
We bought the kids a table tennis table last week, had great fun with it, but it's rained ever since!!
Think if we actually got some summer it would get a lot of use. If its the Slazenger one from *rgos we were very pleased with it. Although we paid £150 (half price from £300) as we didn't use vouchers etc. Also though its home delivery only at £8.95.
Has really bought out the competitive side of DD1 & DH as to how long they can keep a volley going.
Enjoy it if you decide to go for it.

Hi Megela, thanks for the heads up about delivery charge, I hadn't checked the cost of that yet. I think it will be good fun for all, so pretty certain to order today. I have a shed which needs to move slightly, and we have been wanting to do that for years, so perhaps this is the kick to do it. We will be out with tape measure shortly to check whether it will fit

How long did it take to arrive?

You could pick am or pm on the day of your choice. Think it was about 10 days ahead though. Very heavy. Splits into 2 for moving about/putting away.
Hoping the rain holds off & we'll have ours out this afternoon.Re-mortgaged 20/04/12 MTiT-T3 No.7Start balance £89611.10 + £22500 = £112111.10/Current balance £85436.53

Morning, contents/building insurance not finished yet as I need to make a phone call on Monday morning.
Gardening finished yesterday, shed moved ready for table tennis stuff to arrive. Ironing finished (never really ends though
).
Glorious day so we ar off for a dog walk. I am going to start some gentle jogging as I am feeling much better.
I think that's it for now. I do have one more letter to write, so will definitely complete that today and get it in the post.

Glad the weather is nice where you are - we had to abandon our long walk plans due to pouring rain

Hi Dawn, it's been a weird day, glorious sun, then black cloud, then pouring rain, then suddenly sun - however, we managed our walk and various garden jobs finished. Dinner is just finishing and I am looking forward to a long soak in the bath, before starting another week of minimal £ spending

Good morning, lodgers money OPd :j
Car boot sale stuff sorted. Depending upon weather, will be having a go in two weeks time. No clue whether the stuff we have will be attractive to purchasers, but fingers crossed.
Busy day at work planned, so off for a dog walk to set the day up well.

Don't hold your flaming breathe, have you seen the long range forecast :mad::eek:. Our best days are next Fri & Sat which only have 60% chance of rain
. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
