  • Thanks for the tip, I will try to introduce oh!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Morning, the last of the FD paperwork has arrived for DS, 2cm high in total - that's a lot of paperwork for online banking/saving.

Looking forward to sun, sun, sun today.

Fab financial organisation by DS1 - hats off to him. Hoping my MSE ways will rub off on DS1 and DS2 as they both finish Uni this summer. They have budget spreadsheets already, but am planning another MSE session with them over the summer as they will both finally have some money coming in !! Enjoy the sun.

  • Morning, and what a lovely cool one it is. I watered all the pots at 6.30am and it was beautiful.

Quick update on life. Mr T is selling his car and buying something smaller. Mine will go to whichever Tilly child passes their test first. Both have tests scheduled within 3 weeks of each other. All part of streamlining life and reducing outgoings which are not necessary. As Mr T works from home most of the time apart from monthly client meetings it is mad having two cars on the drive.

I've sorted mum's insurance for buildings, contents and emergency home care. Total saving of £550.

I've been offered a substantial sum of euros at a good price from a relative. They lived abroad for many years and want to close an account in mainland Europe. Will be a good help towards the reno but need to discuss with Mr T.

Mr T is away today and I'm out and about shortly - better get breakfast sorted.

    Best wishes Tilly
