We once had a dog, she jump over the fence , run anymore, and everywhere during New years Day, then we lost him. Now I have a new female dog. We had a small gathering here in our place, with very few fireworks, but I saw her go crazy over it. I even saw her on the top of the table when I left for a minute. So we kept the doors closed to make sure she wont run away also.
She started sitting on the same chair I am sitting on even how crowded the space could be, then I saw her under the cabinets (cabinets with spaces below). Right now i am worrying how would it be for her on New Years day where there are more loud and non-stop fireworks..

The dog Alfie on this page is a lab x and i couldnt help thinking that he looks like Ruars. I know its probably not him and its also in the South but it was playing on my mind an i thought it was worth a try xx

So sad that so many lovely family dogs are being given up.
