I bought this yesterday using the Bring me teh works cash back link. I also entered a friend's 3 mobile phone number in the field where they asked me if a friend had referred me....and they sent me an e-mail saying that they didn't recognise the number and would I phone this 0870 number to sort it out....
My question is...
1) Is this just a ploy for them to make me call the 0870 number so they can make some money...
2) surely since they have all 3 of my contact numbers from my application form - they could just simply call me up to clarify it????
What do people think? Am I just reading too much into it?
Also - has anyone who is not an employee actually got the cashback through the Works ?0 -

The number you quote for referral has to be one that was bought via dialaphone. I used my wife's number & she got a text today confirming the referral would be paid. Did you mis-key the number? Just asking!!Jertzy x0 -
Thanks Jertzy - that explains it - I thought it had to be a mobile that was on the Three Network.....Duh!!!!0

Beware Dialaphone cashback. The money is not paid direct to you via cheque rather it is a credit to your airtime account. Therefore with the last credit being paid in month 12 you will end year one with a large credit on your account. I checked and if you were to cancel after 12 months ant credits WILL NOT BE PAID BACK. You would only benefit from the last credit therefore if you stayed in the contract after month 12 i.e. when the line rental goes up to £30.
As an aside, had a Three phone last year, non existent signal strength and the automatic switching is not all they say it is. Had to sue them to get my money back and break the contract after 4 months since their Customer Service failed to offer any solution, just kept wasting my time. Therefore from a personal standpoint I would not recommend Three at all. The usual saying applies....if it sounds too good to be true.....it usually is....0 -

YES it is a ploy to get you to ring or forget about it. I like Dialaphone and they have always paid me on time but they can be sneeky. I have ordered online 3 times and every time referral no. is rejected but when you phone it majically works!0 -

Thats why I sneakily always remember to cancel my Direct Debit in month 12 & ensure I get VFM by using any credit up before I cancel :-)Jertzy x0 -
so is it cash back into my pocket or cash "credit" into the fone account?0
