My boss refers to me as" nob head every day" i asked him to stop as i find it offensive and he just says "ok tit head" what can i do ???

Get out your notebook, lick your pencil, refer to your watch and write down 'knob head, 9:11, warehouse' put book and pencil in pocket and look up and smile.

If he asks, tell him you have been advised to record every instance of abuse. If he asks who by, tell him 'my adviser'. Don't say a word more, and carry on working.

Take him in a cup of tea and cream cake and sit down with him and nicely say that the rude remarks have got to stop. If he doesn't listen, then insert the cream cake in an appropriate orifice!

Get a job somewhere else, where you fit in. It seems you're working in a relaxed environment where people have a laugh and don't take everything too seriously; whereas you seem to prefer a more formal environment.

I worked in one of those. Small family firm. Bosses son was my department manager. He'd call me something, I'd call him something back in return. It was all part of the banter. The family were great to work for - for example on the old mans wedding anniversary every year he'd hold a big do and the entire company staff went.

Sometimes I think that this country has gone soft and lost their sense of humour and being realistic. Not surprising I suppose when NuLabour sopent 17 years ramming "rights based society" down our throats.

Being subjected to name calling at work can result in terrible consequences. The op clearly finds this unacceptable and has requested it stop, to no avail.

I recall a local incident some years ago where a chap endured name calling and other aspects of bullying (from th op's perspective, this is bullying), this persisted until one day he turned up for work with a shotgun and killed the main perpetrators - it started with name calling. Something to reflect on.

OP- either go to grievance or find another job with a workplace culture which suits you better.
