Quick Update. Looks like MBNA Card number 2 is in the process of being passed onto a DCA. I wonder if it will go to Westcot like the other MBNA or somebody new ? They have indicated though that if we would like to make them a reasonable offer on the debt of £9522.00 in settlement of the account they would be happy to discuss, before they pass it on.

Might be worth a call, although any offer we are likely to be able to make, undoubtedly wont be considered reasonable by them !! £100 anyone !!!! ?? :rotfl:
Think thats a job for tomorrow if I get time !!

Definately works alot better than day Nurse according to DD1 !! The problem is she has developed such a liking for it , she keeps "forgetting" to eat the fruit , hence why I'm sure she keeps coming down with these nasty colds in the first place !!

If the girls did want to send you fleurs, then mr M&S are doing daffs for £1 a bunch :) tip from my sister.

I made what I felt was a bit of a faux pas at work today, I don't think about the fact that some people I work with are much older than me... we were having a conversation about the weekend and I said "ooh and don't forget a mothers day card, I get in trouble if I forget mine"....bit of a silence, then a brush over by the bloke....must remember not to do that one again eep.

Ha Ha !! I will tell her that, I think there may be a chocolate orange lurking in the deepest darkest depths of the cupboard leftover from Xmas, maybe I will present her with that for tonights pudding !!! :rotfl:

Thanks for the top tip, I love Daffs and that is really cheap. Might buy some for my mum actually. :A

Ooh dear on the Faux Pas, I'm sure most of us have found ourselves in a similar position at times though, and I'm sure your work colleagues understood and thought nothing of it. Try not to worry xx

I won't be back there for another 2 weeks so I'm not going to worry, just felt a bit bad at the time. He might just not get on with his mother, he only looked about 40.

Please report back as to what DD says when presented with the choc orange haha. Aww I want one now!

You could always buy some daff bulbs when they go in the sale, then grow them for next years presents.

Now thats a though, as I am determined to become a very green fingered Mrs Pinot this year !! It is on the agenda !! I do have Daffs in the front garden in full bloom that I planted when we moved in 10 years ago, but I have never found the time since to plant any in the back garden !!:rotfl:

DD1 declined pudding this evenign as she felt too ill, so I may serve it for breakfast tomorrow !!:D

Eek...not experts!! ( well in my case anyway!) Just keeping on trying and it's fun when it goes well! Daffs sound a good idea. Tulips and hyacinths are a good pressie in a bowl too.

Re growing my faves are potatoes ( cos they taste SO good fresh) but from an MSE point of view it must be tomatoes and salad as they are so pricey in the shops. With the salad just make sure you do cut and grow again and don't let it bolt!

OH still hasn't sent off MIL's pressie. Must do that tomorrow ( then its next day delivery, more expense :-() otherwise my frugal gift will be wasted! It's chocolates that were £3 so if I am not careful they will get eaten instead which is not quite the point! All this talk of chocolate is making me very hungry!! :rotfl:

Have a great eve with Mr PG

  • Daffs are my favourite too, when I see them planted on road sides they always remind me of choirs singing, they always seem so happy. (I know i'm strange!!!):rotfl:
