I eventually managed a walk with the girls just before the sun went down ! DD1 took some beautiful photos down by the river and DD2 done her best poses. I felt much better after some fresh air. I left the girls out walking and headed home on my own ( I needed the loo , not sure if you needed to know that bit of info!!) and when they came back, DD2 had picked me a beautfiful bunch of flowers. DD1 apparently had to stop her from picking daffs and bluebells from peoples gardens ! Needless to say, with my weird mood today, her kindness sent me into floods of tears, the poor girls were completely bewildered !!
I think I feel better now after a good old cry although I hate the children seeing me upset and I can't explain half of why I am getting my knickers in such a twist. Maybe one day they will know the whole story !:o
I hope you all have a lovely evening and tomorrow I will be back, and jolly !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Morning All,
Well the Pinot Family rallied around last night, think they all realised I was about to lose the plot big time yesterday ! :eek:After DD2 bringing me home the lovely flowers, DD1 sat me down to watch a slide show of the photos she had taken and subsequently edited , they were great. Mr Pinot managed to sneak away from work early and ran me a big bubbly bath, glass of vino and my book and left me there for a while in peace a quiet. DD2 raided the house for tea lights and lit loads of candles in the bathroom as well. I felt like a princess !
I feel much better today, and very angry with myself for having a blip yesterday. I could write pages and pages explaining alot of what goes on in my head at times. Much of it going back years and years and the need to please everyone else, then feeling often that it doesnt matter what I do its not good enough ,unfortunately.
Happy Now you mentioned about Mr Pinot and the weekend work. thankyou. I jump up and down about it every now and then, but it has never been any different and never will be debt or no debt. The nature of the job is that weekends, bank hols are a must. I am lucky really ,he used to be away for 9/10 months of the year and we ran two businesses at the time . After me having a mini breakdown about five years ago , we shut down one business and had to completely re structure the other and basically start all over again finding clients and business closer to home, as I was struggling to cope any more with him being away so much. This also led to some of the debt. He was away in dangerous places and certain family members and friends were very unsupportive, they added to the stress and worry and told me that I wasnt doing enough for them, with two babies and two businesses to run over the years ! Unfortunately some of those comments hit me hard and I have found it tough to get over them even after all this time. Mr Pinot spends alot more time in the country now, but he will always work odd hours and I really should be used to it by now and get a grip !! Due to this I am particularly close to the girls and have had to make most decisions regarding their upbringing alone, or via emails with Mr Pinot. Now he is around alot more, I am struggling with sharing the responsibilities , I am so used to doing everything on my own. I also admit that with DD1 growing up and getting more independant I am finding it really hard to let go.:( Does this go some way to explaining my weird mood yesterday ? For some reason I feel I need to explain as I think I look like such a brat !! The house is huge ( I know I'm lucky ) and with full time work I do struggle to keep on top of it all, I do ask the girls to help with chores, not as many as I would like though !!
So..... I believe I said on my first ever post that there was loads more behind our situation that would probably pop out, so here it is installment number 2 !!!
But, onwards and upwards, today is a new day and a new week. NSD number 3 was yesterday. :j. Netflix payment of £15 has been received through Quidco. I have cleared out DD2s wardrobes yesterday and have piles and piles of clothes to get up on ebay. I have made another payment towards some debt this morning and updated my signature..DD1 is off school today , she has been feeling poorly all weekend, but she says she is well enought to help me with some boring filing today, so I may utilise her a little !!
No more baring my soul to you all for now !!! Hope you all have a lovely day xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Oh pinot, I have just read your message. You do have a lot to deal with. Having DH away such a lot and having him there now is so familiar with me. My childhood ( a looong time ago) was such that when dad was away our household was quirky and fun, when he came home it was disciplined and wierd. Mum really struggled. She tried to be two different people. Then I married someone who was away a lot. Like you I worked full time, with four kids in five years, and tried to keep everything somehow under control. I had a mini breakdown 5 years ago too. DH now works within a mile of the house, comes home every day for lunch and I still find it hard to let go of the reins a bit and let him do things.
One thing I did to get kids to help more was write a list and put it on the kitchen worktop. They all had to do a certain number of tasks and they crossed them off when completed. It became a competition to do the most!!
I also threatened to lock their computer mouse, gameboy etc away if they didn't do something to help. I only did it once but they knew I meant business. I felt really mean but now they laugh about it and say how they enjoyed it more than me dropping hints or nagging them to do something.
I have 3 men, including DH, and me here and the youngsters have asked me to write the lists again as I did when they were teenagers. They find it easier than thinking for themselves.
Mr P sounds kind like Mr Pooh, he runs a bath for me and brings me wine when I am stressed and just can't seem to be able to deal with it.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Pinot glad to hear that you are feeling better today. Please don't be angry or too hard on yourself, these are very trying times.
I know what you mean about trying to please everyone, all the time and then whatever you do it's never good enough. All the time its a balancing act isn't it.
Perhaps a bit of relaxing 'me time' is required on a more regular basis?? You are doing a fabulous job. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

What a lovely family you have Pinot and so good that they realised that you needed a bit of TLC

I think we all have a bit of this things about constantly pleasing others, even the age I am now I am still trying to make my parents proud of me... doesn't always work
He was away in dangerous places and certain family members and friends were very unsupportive, they added to the stress and worry and told me that I wasnt doing enough for them, with two babies and two businesses to run over the years ! Unfortunately some of those comments hit me hard and I have found it tough to get over them even after all this time.
The old saying is you can choose your friends and not your family, I know this to be very true even with my family. They tend to say things without realising the hurt their comments can make

Well done on the NSD, think I will make one today more from the fact that I haven't got way from the pc than anything else, and DD1 will probably enjoy being utilised
No more baring my soul to you all for now !!! Hope you all have a lovely day x
You bare your soul all you look, again as the saying goes a problem shared is a problem halved, gosh I sound like a right old mare today dont I:rotfl:
Have to admit I have had a bit of a hissy fit earlier but I'm starting to calm down and will do some baking shortly which should help.
Right take care no doubt catch up later

oh pinot
big hugs hunny i'm glad you are feeling better now but know how rubbish it is to have those 'off' days ...dh & i always argue about the kids he's rarely here and when he is home he thinks what he says should go and I of course already have routines in place which then proper p1sses me off making me think that i'm doing a rubbish job so we both get our backs up and argue lol! I know the girls are busy but i think helping with the housework should be compulsory
it certainly is in my house for my older one haha xx

Thankyou to you all, I wont answer you individually but you have all said something that has struck a chord, I know Im not the only one dealing with these things which is why I think I get so annoyed with myself. There are so many people so much worse off than I am . Silly Girl !!!
DFW we have had similar conversations before havent we ? Its difficult for Mr Pinot as well though , as I think he sometimes feel a bit like an outsider when we have routines in place, and PoohBear, I think I have many similarities to your mum, I often feel like two different people !! Actually maybe three or four dependent which head / hat I am wearing that day !!
Anyway I am feeling so much, you have helped enourmously....again !!
I have made a couple of batches of French Madeleines since the school run, as the goody cupboard was looking bare. The mixture was really tasty
Dinner is nearly ready and I have had a good scrub of the bathrooms and hoover round. Couple of wash loads done and I am feeling more organised and in control !LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
