Mr F and I are both atheists so obviously don't do the whole Easter thing but we are leaving the boys to make their own minds up when they're older. We never used to buy them easter eggs but would buy them a book or something similar and leave the eggs to grandparents but now that we're so far away from family we feel obliged to buy them one on behalf of grandparents (iyswim). We usually do an egg hunt.

We do an Easter Egg hunt too. Its so much fun. We have a little white iron easter tree on the table with decorative eggs to hang as well, and little chickens dotted around the house. Dont think Mr Pinot is too impressed by all of this. One year I managed to get hold of sticky Easter Bunny Footprints to stick on the floor and lead the way to some eggs.I even make them butter their toast with mini knives with hens stuck on the top ! Its bit of a standing joke actually that, whatever the occasion I will have a box in the loft with some themed decorations just waiting to be put on display !
We always buy the girls a book at Easter or when they were younger stickers and colouring books. Now they are a bit older they still get the book, butother family members give them eggs although most years they dont get eaten so get broken into tiny pieces to be used in cooking and frozen. The problem is I often forget to use it and find it many months later at the bottomof the freezer !:oLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

I'm having a very grumpy, fed up, feeling sorry for myself day today. I must admit I'm not good at weekends though anyway. The girls are home which is great, but Mr Pinot is never here and I seem to struggle with seeing families out and about together or going off out for the day all together. I seem to spend most weekends just running from pillar to post, chasing my tail, trying to keep everyone happy , catch up housework, do the visiting family thing, battle with the girls to get homework done , clean out bunny cages, food shop, cook and at the moment wash up.
I know in my heart of hearts this is really not much different to other people. But I do wish sometimes there was someone to share it with or help with the running around.:(
I didnt go to bed last night, so I'm sure that has something to do with my mood today. Argued with Mr Pinot late last night over parenting issues, then I was so wound up and upset, that I stayed up all night long stressing over it all. I'm angry with myself for feeling like this, but the most exciting thing to look forward to this weekend was taking DD2 to the stables. Ive not evenhad time to head out for a walk in the sunshine. I shouldnt feel fed up, DD2 rode beautfiully with a smile on her face for the whole lesson.
We will be out of this viscious circle one day, then things will look brighter I'm sure xxx

You don't at all *hugs* could you maybe get your girls to help with the housework, bunny cages, washing up, cooking? My sister and I were helping with the housework from about 8yo onwards, a bit of polishing, hoovering, nothing too taxing. That would cut down on the amount of time you spend doing it
Plus it'll help the girls for the future when they've got houses to clean
Sorry to hear you and Mr Pinot had words and the homework was a battleCould you try to get the girls to do the homework in 20min bites? That's meant to be the optimum your brain can do before it gets distracted.
Just think when you're debt free you'll be moaning about having Mr P around the house all the timeDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Not spoilt at all honey, we all have days like this from time to time and to be honest if you have been up all night is it any wonder.
If I recall someone said to me quite recently not to overdo things (wonder who that could be) and I believe that applies to all of us, we all need our own "ME Time".
We are all on a DF journey and for some of us this will take a long time and we are bound to get why me? days but we will come through it together.
I had a reply on the thread drumming up enthusiasm from a lady earlier today which summed things up quite well (have a quick look if you have a chance), it made me think (and that's clever in itself
Take care and be kind to yourself

Sorry to hear you're having a bad day. Sleep deprivation is a terrible thing.
It's a shame Mr Pinot is working such long hours, but remember the early days of your diary when he was struggling to find work? How much worse was that?! And although it means you don't see much of him at weekends and the chores fall on your shoulders, I daresay it's hard for him too being at work and away from the three of you. It's no wonder you have the odd cross word.
I hope you can make up soon (if you haven't already), then get an early night, and I bet you're back to your usual cheery self tomorrow. But if not, get back on here and we will all do our best to cheer you up. xLBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!
